Chris - don't committ to any thing just yet and let's look it over in the morning. Two heads are better than one as they say. -

Man Chris, that is alot of adjusting to get the proper height. It looks like a lot of those frame sub-assemblies would need to be rebuilt as well as moving the frame mounts up. -

What would be involved with lowering the rear? Is the roll cage hitting the rear window cover or is it the location of the fabricated mounts you made? -
Progressing very nicely John. Love the fact you switched the doors to suicide style much easier access to the rear and just classy looking. What's the plans for the engine? Something outrageous I'm sure.

Looking more spectacular every post Chris and I'm really looking forward to Saturday. See you then. -
Another cool looking build off to a great start on the Teresi bench. Although, the good Dr. says it will be many weeks of eye candy, it think it'll be more like one or two given how quickly you shoot these out John. I'll be following along with notepad in hand.

Looking forward to seeing your FC build Chris. Can't wait. I'll box up my Fiat too, if you want to see it. I'll also see if I can scrounge up some printing plate for you as well. I'll shoot you an email on where to meet up. On edit: Looks like others would like to see it as well so we can just meet up in the parking lot at 8:30. I'll be in the extended cab white GMC Sierra. Very much looking forward to seeing your FC creation. -
Stunning build. I agree with all of the above comments and really feel you captured the early gasser style accurately. I'd love to see this jump off the line and run down the strip, screaming all the way.

Ok, after studying the photos a bit more, I want to know what the wheels are made of if the actual tires are rubber hose. This kart is killer and I think I'm feeling the need to build one. What did you use for reference on the engine?

Love this lil' thing. Glad you took the suggestion and made the tank and the other improvements. The driver may need to wear chainmail or something similar on his right arm or have permanent grill marks.

OK Chris, got my shift covered until noon so I can meet you at the postal hall or even QT which is right next door for a morning coffee if you like. How's 8:30 sound? They won't let you in until right at 9:00 anyway. Well, not just you, anyone else for that matter, unless you have a vendor table. -
The Suburban body came in the mail the other day and I spent about an hour so far rough cutting it in. This is my first experience with a resin body and I'm surprised about the thickness in some places. Overall, the quality is very good, just a few holes to fill in. Happy with my purchase and am looking forward to matching it up with the 55 Chevy pickup chassis, engine and the front of the interior. The back half of the interior wil be a challenge but I'm going to have alot of camping stuff in there so that should cover up the bed of the interior.

That would be awesome Chris. I'm also about 6 blocks from the postal hall if we can work this out. I'll let you know. -

Maybe I can get someone to swap shifts with me. -
Thanks for the kind words John, Tyrone and Chris. I'm a big fan of each of your creative builds and am grateful that you're following along. I've gotta get this in paint soon so I can move onto other builds calling me.

Got my order too. Great stuff as well but I just ordered three camper type propane bottles.

How did I miss this? Unfortunatly, I start work at 9am so I'll be unable to attend. Are you going? -
Thanks Derrick. Between working on my vintage travel trailer and this one, I've been mostly doing little things as my benchtime has been in small parcels. Finally put the butterfly steering wheel switches in place, wired them up and attached the wheel. Here's a couple of pictures. Also, I decided I wanted a different name so I worked up the graphic in Adobe Illustrator, printed it out and taped it in place. A noted improvement over the last one. As always, comments welcome and thanks for following along.

What swap meet is this? I don't have any info on this one. I have info on Modelzona next month and Desert Scale Classic in April but not this one. -
This is a beautifully done build that represents the SEDCO car quite accurately. Nicely done Billy. I'm attaching a Chevy Classics article on the SEDCO cars and a little known fact about how they became racecars. These Widow's were set up for Daytona Beach racing by a mechanic named Dale Swanson from Harlan, Iowa. Very interesting reading. Keep in mind, the pages are out of sequence. On edit: my PDF is too large to attach. If you go to www.swanson-automotive.com you'll be able to download the article.
