Found my wire lacing set up from MicroNitro. I'll get a picture of it and post it here. I was intending on writing and drawing up instructions for using it.

I’ve been fiddling with the dash, firewall and a few other things and just can’t seem to make much headway. So I moved on to the water crossover tube. Got it finished today before work after making a second one, first one was too small. I took the idea from looking at a FB picture of Roger Lee’s MR Special’s engine. I’m happy with it, now onto the lower radiator hose connection. Not even sure where that is on an old hemi so more research is in order. Work continues...

#32 - Thanks JC. A little at a time but now I'm working 7 days a week and just don't have much time for the bench. I'm still sourcing parts from my stash and a few things still to find.

#32 - I had a spare body of the AMT two door sedan so I thought..."Why not see how it goes?" I separated the front flip nose section from the body with a PE saw and had to add a bit of thin sheet styrene along one edge of the hood to get it to fit the fenders better. I also cut out the wing windows, shaved off the body trim from both sides, removed the wipers, added back in the missing slits under the wipers, and cut out the rear wheel openings. I either need to take the wheel wells from the resin body or add some styrene to the AMT body for the flare. My plan is to take the firewall from the resin body and pair it to the AMT body. IMO, the resin body wasn't as good as the AMT kit body. Here's a few pictures to show my progress.

How about posting your build number in your thread to help the rest of us following along? So I just put up my first post so now I'll go back and add number 32 to to it based on the last entry list from a few posts above.

Number 32 - I'm finally able to post my entry pic for the Two Lane Blacktop. I was waiting on my resin body to arrive so now I'm all over it. Still acquiring the needed parts.

OMG...put that in a frame and mount it on the wall in a museum because that is a real piece of art. This whole thread is one big How-To on creative and innovative model building.

I should have my resin body tomorrow so I haven't even started yet.

That's a great story with a sad ending. Is this the only picture you have of it? The pic looks like it was before the straight axle. I'm liking the digger in the front too.

I've only had short bursts of building time so not much has been getting done. I found out the other night the GTX chassis is warped so I'm kind of at a standstill for the moment. I may try a heat gun in an attempt to straighten it out as its unusable in its present form.

You guys are having too much fun and I want in on it. I've been wanting to build the Two Lane Blacktop primered '55 Chevy with the flip front end for some time so this is the spark I need. I think i have a sedan donor at home and will look tonight and post my results. If not, I'll get one soon. I'm in!!

Thanks so much Chris. I tried to put the driver's side decals on the other night and they just wouldn't release from the backing paper. I soaked them even longer and when they would release, they started to break apart. I had so e extras so I shot some clear on them and waited a day to put them on. When I did get them on, the clear backing film was cloudy so I soaked the entire body in tap water overnight to get them to release. Back to square one. I think the decals were too old and dried out because of the dry winter weather. I ordered another set and will apply them soon after getting them.

Those N scale vehicles are cool. Small stuff. I made a completely scratch-built Jeep pedal car from strene sheet. The wheel covers are '40 Ford hubcaps and the steering wheel is a metal gear from a watch with the gears sanded off. I drew up my own decals for it too.

Having been living under a rock since mid December, I had missed this entire build. Just got caught up and have to say I'm very impressed with your 'meticulous' creation. I went through your '70 Plymouth thread and started searching for more of your work Francis. Big fan here and will be following along and learning something new with every post.
