A ton of dioramas have disappeared including an old one of mine. Not sure why there's only a handful listed. I would often go through this category to get some inspiration.

The pictures aren't showing.

For that, I'm using Adobe PhotoShop. If I were trying to do the actual type for the signs, I would use Adobe Illustrator.

Here's after working with it for a few minutes. The one on the top of the building will need to be completely rendered. Can you use this one or would it need to be rendered too?

This looks like a great project Ray and I could help you with the signs, if you like. I'd love to contribute in some way on a unique project of this magnitude. If I do the art, I could send you the PDF and then could you print them out on your end?

Francis - that is outstanding.I agree with Tim about displaying your engine on a stand outside of the model. Its just too good to hide. -

Its time for a drawers change Francis. My GAWD that is a masterpiece in and of itself. I'm addicted and need more, more.... -
I just went through the DSCv16 website and reviewed all of the winners. Congrats to all who took honors in this ground-breaking event and a shout-out to Codi (Tim) with the Best of Show, Best Detail and Best Engine Master Awards. Very well deserved.

Now that's really cool. Welcome Matt. I sent Paul a text letting him know you added a post. -

Thanks Mike. Glad to help another builder out.

Thanks for digging this back up Richard. I had a lot of fun building this but I have to say, all of the commentary, hilarity and commradiere shown in this thread sure made me smile the entire time.

What a stunning pair of builds Mike, or should I call you Jo as I have for the last year or so? Haha! I truly love your building style and use of different types of metal in your creations. It'll be very interesting to see how you do the body on the 'Sidewinder.'

She's a real beauty Bruce. I'd be proud to display that one. Congrats on getting it done well before the deadline. I do believe you have time for another one.

I wasn't happy with the upper radiator hose, so I redid it. No pictures at this time. Had to set this aside while I fix a friend's bamboo fly rod. I'll get back to it shortly.

What exceptional work my friend. Machining tools to make other parts is awesome. So glad you post your how-to's and experimentation ideas. One day, I'll have a lathe and mill and can only imagine having the fun you're having.

I switched out the carbs for some resin ones and added the hard lines for the fuel. Still need to finish those up. I also added a Parts By Parks beehive oil filter. Also relocated the headlights to the side of the radiator shell. Slowly getting there.

Some concentrated bench time the last couple of days and i was able to get the alternator on along with the belt. Then I attached the blower belt and hooked up the lower radiator hose made from heat-shrink tubing. Then I attached the radiator and installed the upper radiator hose. That makes the front of the engine all buttoned up. Still waiting on some fittings to finish up the carbs.

That's a really nice blue for a Cobra.

Thanks Dan. Hope the best for you right now. Been fiddling some more with the '25 and have the headlights temporarily mocked up. Waiting on some anodized fittings from Detail Master to finish up the dual carbs. Here she sits on the bench awaiting my return from work.
