  1. Top notch work there Mike. Always love seeing brass FED chassis made and yours are right up there with the best.
  2. MicroMark and others offer a non-flammable piece of material similar to a ceiling tile (but smaller of course) for soldering on. You can use straight pins to hold your brass material in place. Its an easy to use system that takes very little time to set up. I purchased some 'T' handle straight pin for this as they as thicker and easier to hold.
  3. Merry Christmas Paul. You're making great progress and I've seen some pictures of the wheels you made. I need to get a set or two of those. Doing all of this in a fifth wheel must be interesting.
  4. Thanks so much Carl. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  5. I forgot to add everyone's response to this gift and how it is boxed up since you really can't pick it up by the cab for fear of knocking the snow off. Everyone loved it and had lots of questions. My daughter and son-in-law Dave gave me a hug and thanked me profusely. Dave took pictures of it and sent to his parents since they of course have the same last name. I built a cradle for the truck and found the appropriate sized box with a drop down lid. The truck is lifted and positioned with the cradle, then slid out from underneath when in the right display spot. This should last for years. Merry Christmas everyone!!
  6. That is really nice Billy. How about some more pictures so I can drool some more?
  7. This is too much, I can hardly fathom all of this in one package. Stunning and exemplary work Francis!!
  8. That's quite a fleet of drag racers Daniel. Quite impressive.
  9. This will really be cool. Build on.
  10. Such precise work Francis! I'm impressed beyond measure. I sure would love to see this in person one day.
  11. ? You're absolutely right of course. I think this is becoming a life-long project.
  12. This is a great dio and there's so much to look over. If I may suggest, add a red based automotive decal to your creeper t accentuate the red head pad. Here's mine hiding under the window.
  13. And I suppose the butterflies work too? Jaw-dropping work Francis although I hate to call it work because I know you're having a blast creating this masterpiece.
  14. Oh my word, those came out superb Tim!! Your ability to do all of this in 1/25th scale is mind boggling.
  15. Holy cr&p Randy!! I need to change my underwear. That is absolutely beautiful. You are a madman.
  16. Ya know, Tim, we've not actually met so I'm wondering if you're like two feet tall in order to render this amount of detail. Eeegads that is beautiful! I can't believe the number of parts on this bad boy.
  17. That's a cool little teardrop camper, Pat. Any more pictures of it? I'm not sure if I posted this or not in this thread. Everything is scratch-built with the exception of the frame, wheels and tires. Trees are made with a tapered dowel and hog's hair furnace filters. Mattress covered with printable fabric with an image I found online. This was a fun build.
  18. I saw this when you originally posted it Claude and I was blown away then as I still am. One cool model indeed!! Very inventive.
  19. Man that's a bummer and I certainly know how that goes. The 'Parts Black Hole' strikes again. It only opens to swallow your parts then disappears again.
  20. Stellar stuff Tim. I always enjoy the time and effort you put into your creative builds.
  21. It appears that my mojo has failed me so I pulled this back off the shelf and am motivated to finish it this time because I currently don't have any interest in doing anything else. I had drilled holes in the back body panel for some tail lights and decided I didn't like them so I patched the holes and am sourcing my stash for more suitable ones. I'm going to need to hit up my model aircraft buddies to see what they have for aircraft inspired lights. Stay tuned.
  22. There's only one left so he needs to make plans attend. I'd love to peruse his creations in person.
  23. Wow!! Those are some impressive printed parts. Keep after it and you may just convince me into a 1/16th scale build yet. ?
  24. I have joined that group.
