Thanks, guys. I appreciate the comments.
Brian, the stack is actually the same length as the one from the kit. It was a one-for-one swap. Now I just have to figure put how to make the curved stack to replace the solid one on the Autocar dump.
Just finished up the AMT Autocar A64B tractor kit:
The build is mostly box-stock except for the 3-D printed interior door handles & window cranks:
The exhaust was replaced with 5/16" aluminum tube, and the glad hand airlines are #22 black wire. Decals are from the AMT/Ertl International Paystar5000 Cement Mixer. Color is Testors Dark Red. AC lines are some small black wire from a broken USB cable. Hydraulic tank is from the AMT/Ertl Dump Trailer.
Thanks for looking.
I am finishing up the AMT 1972(ish) Autocar A64B. The kit comes with some black vinyl tubing for the tractor-trailer air lines. I want it to look moderately correct, so about how long were these hoses generally? Or were they vehicle specific?
Thanks.
Good luck with getting the upgrade kits. Yes, hopefully these will become available again as the 1963 Lotus 29 kit has been reissued.
Personally, what I'd like to see are new(er) Indy car kits become available. It'll never happen, though.
