  1. Thanks, guys.
  2. Here is my 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air that I finished up today. There are some kits that you build, and you say to yourself, "I'd build that again." Well, this isn't one of those kits. It's together, it looks the part, and I'm moderately pleased with the results. The dash gages are from Best Model Car Parts, the driver's side mirror is from the Revell 1957 Ford Gasser kit, the radio antenna is a straight pin, and I have no idea where the rear view mirror is from.
  3. Great looking Nova.
  4. Great looking Mack.
  5. Sure are a lot of car songs, or songs that mention cars out there. Guess that just goes to show how important cars are in Western culture.
  6. Ah, so that's possibly the type of car in the garage. Weren't Polaras used by some police departments? Never really thought of the Dodge 330 or Polara as a muscle car.
  7. Keith, what I'm asking is what is the "brand new shiny red Super-Stock Dodge" parked in the little old lady's garage?
  8. Jon, interesting. So was that a factory option?
  9. So recently I have been on a muscle car kick, and have been purchasing some muscle car kits from The Big Four. I have found some inspiration for a couple of my builds from TV and music, particularly the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T from The Dukes of Hazzard, and a planned 1964 Pontiac GTO from G.T.O. (1964) by Ronny and the Daytonas. Now, I know that there are lots of cars in media from many different eras (like the 1967 Mustang Fastback in Bullitt); but what really got me thinking were that cars sung about in the 1960s era car songs. Some I have figured out. Little Duce Coupe (1963) by the Beach Boys is about a 1932 Ford Coupe hot rod, but the song that got me thinking about this tonight was The Little Old Lady (from Pasadena) (1964) by Jan and Dean. (Yes, it was also performed by The Beach Boys). The lyric that sparked my interest is "But parked in a rickety old garage, Is a brand new shiny red Super-Stock Dodge". Now, if the song was written & released in the Spring of 1964, my question to the Forum is: "What is the 1964 Super-Stock Dodge they are singing about? Could it be a Charger?" Anyway, see what happens when you have a long drive? Interesting bit of trivia: the B-side to Jan and Dean's The Little Old Lady (from Pasadena) is My Mighty G.T.O.

  12. I'm still surprised they didn't Coca-Cola the Autocar A64B.
  13. Of all the Coca-Cola models, this one I just might consider.

  25. Nice looking LN8000. Hey, Robbie had to get around some how, right?
