  1. Oh, I almost forgot. Here is a photo of the interior prior to me buttoning it up.
  2. I picked this kit up from a fellow modeler back at the IMPS Syracuse Show in October 2019, and I started it in November. My inspiration for this build was Little GTO by Ronny and the Daytonas, and since I've been on a Muscle Car kick, why not build the muscle car that started it all. The build is essentially "box stock", with the California license plates coming from the Revell 1941 Chevrolet Pickup kit (they actually say 1965, so close enough). Thank you to Tbill for providing the blue paint for the engine. Exterior color is Rustolium Colonial Red over Flat Black.
  3. Looks really nice. Weathering is very realistic, and I like the little details you've added. Those corner wind deflectors (or whatever they are) are very period correct. How did you make them?
  4. Here is a list of Ken Smith's truck detailing articles from Car Modeler: https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/ Search around that Site. There is a wealth of information there.
  5. Oh, I've been around. Had to deal with some health issues that put me in sort of a funk, if you know what I mean. Haven't had the desire to build because of it.
  6. Nicely done. I like your added details.
  7. The wheels & hubcaps look nice. Decals will probably work well.
  8. Did you check with Model Truckin'?
  9. I have The General in the stash. I'd be happy with a period correct box car & some more track.
  10. Might just have to pick up the CHP Monaco & the Impala. That Ford Victoria is interesting, too.
  11. I think I actually owned one of these cars in high school. Mine wasn't a Monza though; it was a 1979 or 1080 (I think) Pontiac Sunbird hatchback.
  12. I wouldn't think so. The Dodge L700 is much smaller that the L1000, and has a gasoline engine. I would think that the AMT Chevrolet Titan or GMC Astro would make good doaner kits.
  13. This might help a little: http://www.olddodges.com/lseries.htm
  14. So, Bill, what are the chances that we might see the correct steal wheels & hubcaps for the AMT 1977 Ford Delivery Van? ?
  15. I'm with you there!
  16. That really looks great. Very well done.

    1971 Duster

That looks awesome, Tom. Very well done.
  18. Nice looking Chevelle. I tried to go to the Drag City Casting Website, but my virus protection blocked it.
  19. Looks really nice.
  20. Nice looking trailer so far. What about the height? I've always heard that this kit was too short.
