  1. Looks like it's ready for Mardi Gras!
  2. I think you did an awesome job!
  3. I'm thinking I'm going to have to track down some Chevrolet Titan/90 or GMC Astro/95 kits for donors for all of these COEs that are coming out. The Dodge L1000, Marmon COE, Mack F-Series, & Brockway 457 from AITM; and these 2 Ford W-Series. I'd really like to see a decent Crackerbox & Ford H-Series as well.
  4. Nice looking LoneStar.
  5. Thanks, Chris. Playing around with Photobucket, and I came up with this "period correct" photo:
  6. Thanks, guys. Carl, I've seen that one too at a LHS.
  7. Thanks, guys. Harry, Sexton Foods was light green over dark green. The light green I used (Tamiya TS22) isn't quite a "neon" in actuality.
  8. The planets must be aligned properly, or something because I actually managed to finish a truck! Wow! Anyway, here is my version of the Revell 1937 Ford delivery truck. I only built this guy to see how the kit was because my son who turned 8 in May wanted a glue kit. I wasn't sure what kit to get, because he's also been hounding me for an ambulance kit. Since I wasn't going to spring for a SSB Resin kit for an 8 year old, I was at a loss. The Revell issued this kit & I thought it would be perfect. I have to admit that there are some tricky parts, but I think we'll be able to handle them together. My version is the Sexton Foods version with two-tone Tamiya Green over Dark Green. It's essentially "box-stock", but hey, it's done!
  9. I prefer the Peterbilt as well. The Western Star wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have those stacks! But like Laz said, they probably did it so they could sell more toys.
  10. I've never used Scalefinishes' paints, but Testors Model Master Grun RLM 62 is a good match for the old Alpine Green. I used it here on a 8V71 for an American-LaFrance pumper:
  11. Your frame looks really nice. I like the rear spokes with the front disks. Very East Coast 1970s. Heck, very East Coast now!
  12. Great idea! Did you have to streatch the frame on the R685ST much?
  13. Looks pretty cool. Is that a flashlight?
  14. Great build. I like your details.
  15. Some of the "old timers" call them "Chicago Wobblers".
