Thought I recognized the decals. That's what my black one started out as. What strange plastic! It was sort of translucent. Very wierd.

I haven't built this kit yet, but from what I hear the fit is pretty bad. The information that I have on this truck puts it as a 1973 with a 122" BBC and the standard AMT Cummins NTA370.

Ok, here you go: Basic black & chrome. Swapped out the kits Caterpiller 3406 with a Cummins NTC350 Big Cam III (well, sort of), relocated the molded on marker lights to their correct location on top of the headlight buckets, added the roof wing from P & P Resin Works (narrowed it down to 72"), and added a fifth wheel grab handle from a straight pin.

Nice job on the dash. I'll definately be using this build as a guide when I start my General. Those flaps look familiar.

There actually is one. Czech Truck Modell makes one, and you can usually get it from The Model Maker Shop. Not too bad, all things considered. And, yes, it does beat the eBay price for the Ertl kit. It looks like a great kit.

Is it just me, or does it look like the exhaust exits behind the left front tire, below the cab? If it does, that's definately different.

Kenworth already uses the XF cab for the K500, so anything is possible I guess.

Hessel, that's awesome! I always thought the Torpedo was a concept truck. Now that would do well in the US.

Looks interesting. It probably is Photoshopped like the pics of the DAF Torpedo or Spectre that are floating around.
