  1. I was given the Arii 1/700 USS Fletcher by a friend of mine back in 1999 who wanted to get me into ship modeling. Well, it took me a long time to finish her, but I managed to get her done back in February 2009. I used the Flagship Models Spruance-Class P/E set, and the JAG Collective Warning Circles set. I also swapped out the VLS system for the ASROC launcher to "back date" the kit a little. Although there was a ASROC launcher in the kit, I used a resin one from JAG Collective. I also added small chan on the foredeck for anchor chain. So, this is the look I was going for:
  2. Looks really nice. I like how it came out.
  3. Nice looking tractor. Factory fresh. AMT probably only made the rear wheels singles so it would fit on their lowboy trailer.
  4. Very nice. That Star Destroyer looks huve compared to the other ships. So, is there a 1/2256 Super Star Destroyer or Death Star? Those would be really huge!
  5. Very impressive build, and Harry's right; the P/E makes a huge difference. There's just someing about standing on a battleship. Makes you feel safe. At least that's how I felt standing on the USS Massachusetts in Fall River.
  6. As far as I know, he doesn't have a Website, but he does sell quite often on eBay. His Seller ID is rhino9905. http://www.ebay.com/sch/rhino9905/m.html?hash=item4ab6a08356&item=320891552598&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_trksid=p4340.l2562

  8. That Sony's East Coast fleet!
  9. In "In Tandem", Will drove a 1972 or 1973 K100 flat-top for "California Lines".
  10. Excellent job. The headache rack looks like Ryan's. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DAY-CAB-GAURD-PROTECTOR-READY-TO-MOUNT-ON-PETERBILT-MACK-KENWORTH-WESTERN-STAR-/320891552598?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ab6a08356
  11. Nice trucks! You'll fit in here just fine.
  12. I have to admit, I've never had much luck with Krylon. It never seems to dry for some reason.
  13. Looks nice. I like the color. One thing you could do with the bumper & wheels is to strip the chrome & paint them with Dupli-Color Bumper Chrome. Kind of gives them a brushed aluminum look. Tamiya Chrome Silver is nice, too; if you can find it. Check out Model Truckin'. Jerry has lots of nice stripes for this cab. http://modeltruckin.com/store/
  14. Wow! You've been doing some serious uploading tonight.
  15. Coming along nicely.
  16. Welcome. You've got quite a collection there.
  17. That looks awesome! Too bad I missed NNL East. It looks perfect behind your CN LoneStar.
  18. Thanks for the replies, guys. I had a feeliong that it was the late 1970s.
  19. Does anyone know when International stopped having engines that went into their trucks painted red? I know the current MaxxForce engines are a dark metallic blue, and the V800 was sort of a light metallic blue; but weren't Cummins, Caterpiller & Detroit Diesel engines in International trucks painted International Red?
