  1. Thanks Kurt! My kit didn't include any chrome tape. They provided decals for the body chrome. I used BMF instead. It took me a long time to build this kit, but I really enjoyed it. Give it a try, you can handle it.
  2. Thanks, Ray! Thanks, David! Thanks, Tom! Thanks, Lee!
  3. Thanks, Peter! Thanks, Al!
  4. Here's my take on the ultimate blingmobile. Revell kit. The paint is AutoAir Sparklescent "Real Teal" with Tamiya "Racing White" roof. This thing hurt my BMF supply, but it sure was fun.
  5. Me too! Even so, I hope you will continue to do those detailed builds, they're amazing.
  6. Thanks, Dann! It was a nice change of pace to just do a body and interior, without all the other details. I enjoyed it.
  7. I have not tried the "crab style", but the regular pre-drilled R&M distributors work well with 32 gauge insulated wire, available here:https://www.micronmeters.com/product/miniature-insulated-wire-32-awg-uaa-uba I use the UAA3201, which is a single wire, not stranded. If that is too big, they also have 34 and 36 gauge.
  8. Thanks, Ismael!
  9. Thanks again, Kurt! Thanks, Jim! Thanks, Peter! I'm really becoming a fan of AutoAir paint.
  10. That looks great! Really nice detailing. Add me to the list of people that have that kit waiting to be built. I'm working on a curbside Jota that will be a different shade of green with gold trim, so I'll follow this with great interest.
  11. As you probably know, the stock Silhouette wheels have five circular openings in them. I found some wheels in the parts box that have six holes in them. I don't know what they go to, but they just didn't look right. I don't have a Boomerang or Rainbow. My last auction find included the Silhouette and Jota, Ferrari 250 GTO, 512S, Testarossa, 288 GTO metal kit, Porsche 924, two 1/12 F1 kits, and a 1/25 F1 kit. I can tell you like exotics, I love the way you chop them up and make something totally new.
  12. Thanks Kurt! I appreciate your feedback. I know what you mean about the tires. I also have a Jota kit that does include tires, and the rears are much wider than the fronts. Unfortunately, these are the only tires I had that fit these wheels, and they are the only wheels I had that fit this car. I think they look pretty good, but they are definitely not stock Silhouette wheels.
  13. +++++ Thanks, Dominik! I seem to find unusual kits, and then I go ahead and build them.
  14. Thanks, David!
  15. Thanks, Peter!
  16. Thanks, David! Thanks, Craig!
  17. Thanks, Ray! Thanks, Chris! Thanks, Trevor!
  18. Excellent job in every way. Love the antenna.
  19. Testors kit. This is what I had to start with: The paint is AutoAir Sparklescent "Blizzard Blue". This is one of those motorized kits, so no engine or detailed chassis. The roof was missing from the kit. There were no tires or wheels in the kit, so I hope any Lambo purists will forgive me for using what I had. Suggestions for improvement always welcome. Thanks for looking.
  20. Gorgeous! Hard to believe it started out as a snapper, but all your extra work really paid off.
  21. Please let us know how it works, Jonathan, it looks like just the thing for modern cars.
  22. Thanks, Larry!
