  1. The conclusion I have come to over the years using the Super Clean( not the knock off white bottle junk), is that there are so many varibles when it comes to what it will strip and how long it will take and how well it does. Ive noticed that it will strip the same paint differently each time, so a lot depends on the prep work too. I am talking about lacquers. The one thing for certain is that heat helps a ton.
  2. You can strip the silver, that will come off, use what has been suggested, the 91% IPA , you almost dont have to soak the body, you can rub it off with a rag that has the IPA on it.
  3. Ohhh right, silly me, they do have the parts, I dont know why I said they didnt, its the paint fumes , yeah.
  4. Its been slow year for me believe it or not, I am ready to take a short break
  5. Goodyear tire decals.................................... They are Powersildes decals, I am using the ones from the supplement sheet https://www.mikesdecals.com/2017-goodies-for-revell-kits-powerslide-p-4878.html https://www.mikesdecals.com/2005-2017-goodyear-tire-wheel-goodies-powerslide-p-4942.html
  6. I used Tamiya TS54, Light Met Blue, the decals are just shade darker, but its close.
  7. I think the Ford's overall nose shape is closer to the Toyota over the Chevy's, oh yes, its going to be a real blast
  8. Luckily, Aoshima just reissued that kit last year I think it was, so they are now easy and affordable to get( minus the LHD dash), a couple of years ago on one of the Japan model Facebook groups, a builder made a Hardbody P/U from the the Terrano kit, it looked really good I have two in my stash, I got one of them to try and turn into the p/u, whenever the day comes that I finally grow a pair, I will do it.
  9. Good luck, I thought about trying that as well, I think you are better off using the Ford over the Chebby,
  10. I thought so
  11. I would LOVE to have the ENTIRE kit in 1/24th
  12. With the new Chebby kits out, I am getting started on doing the four HMS cars, ( Jimmie, Chase, Jr, Kahne) so far, I am currenly working on three of them( One will be Jimmie 7pack Johnson and Dale I am so glad he retired Jr and Chase Elliot* not pictured) the chassis that the body is sitting on belongs to Chase Elliot's build that is not pictured. Metalizer aluminum and steel was used, Mr Black Sufacrer on the valve covers The chassis for Chase Elliot's ride tires
  13. It really depends on the kit, the time of day, the weather, what is on TV, what mood I am in , my overall interest in the kit, and so many other factors that its hard to give a diffident answer, but most of the time I am feeling lazy so if it wont be seen that I am more then likely to not worry about it. But that does not apply to the chassis .
  14. Its just a reboxed of the Lindberg kit from the 90's , its 1/20th scale , it is a very decent kit outside of the the crappy scale.
  15. Nor can I
  16. It depends, I dont mind the price if the resin is decent, and does not require a ton of work.
  17. I agree, I am very sad about it, and I just dont care for Diecast's
  18. Got me one Unimog on pre order.
  19. Interesting issue, only I can think of is try a little lower PSI, but not sure if that is going to help.
