  1. Oh, thanks for pointing that out, I am going to correct it, sometimes the copy doesnt always register.
  2. Looks to be a modified version of the chassis used in the C6R kit , either way, care not, the body is whats important to me.
  3. Oh yes, I would be very very happy
  4. My first car was 64 Mecury , and my second car was an 84 olds, I really liked my 84 Cutlass , the Merc, not so much, it was the car Adam Sandler was singing about .
  5. I think at least the car part of the hobby is going to be ok 20 years from now, we have to look at the hobby globally and there are plenty of young people taking part in the hobby of building model cars that I dont think its going to die off when the older builders are gone. Of course, just my opinion.
  6. I have no reply to your question beside I am glad I was not drinking something when I read it, I really did laugh out loud
  7. I know its going to shock many, but even I like older cars too, I respect them for what they are , and there even some that I would love to own, but I also love new(er) cars even more, as thats what I am use too, I was born in 80, so I have no connection to anything really before the 90's. I have to agree, while I am sure its fun to drive them, for everyday use, I will stick with something from the last 20 years.
  8. Of course, and thats never going to change................................ tell we have cyborgs or androids that can be programed not to think that way
  9. I feel the same way for the most part, as I have grown very tired hearing, or reading that old cars are better than new cars, having an outhouse was better than having indoor plumbing, B&W TV was better than color HD TV's, you get my point, well, my point that I am trying to make is that every generation has its good and its bad, and its my opinion that no one generation is better than the next.
  10. Being honest, that is pretty spot on and I agree with everything you said, and nothing really needs to be added.
  11. I dont think we are at that point just yet.
  12. You would be 100% correct , those groups are complete waste of time and are doing nothing to help people become better builders, like I replied to Harry, I dont bother or waste my time in those groups. And just because a few groups are like that, doenst mean all groups are like that, most of the groups I am in are none American, as those are the groups that believe in everyone is a winner.
  13. Question: why do so many of you older guys have to attack anybody who makes a comparison between the way things were then and the way things are now? Ace, please note that is not say aimed at you directly, and I have zero issues with you, and respect your knowledge that you have,
  14. I dont participant in those groups, I participate in the groups that allow builders to help out other builders
  15. And that is a problem, a lot of the model groups on Facebook wont allow anything other than "great job" being posted, you cant offer advice unless the builder ask for it, so that are a lot very crappy models being posted on Facebook and its not getting any builder, because, everyone is a freaking winner.
  16. Believe it or not , there are still a good amount of guys my age and younger building models, shocking I know, but none of you see it because you chose not use social media like Facebook, there are probably in the 100's of different types of modeling groups on Facebook, and in those groups, you have the younger generations taking part in the hobby via social media. Because thats what they are use too, forums dont see to be very popular to the younger generations, so keep that mind as well, they , chose social media over forums, and in some part, I dont blame, I have been choosing Facebook over forums as well a lot of time. One thing that is really grating my goat, is this nonsense about the younger generations growing up differently than yester year, well no kidding, every generation grows up differently , dare I say, with the times, so of course they are growing up technology, thats just how it is, doesn't make it good, or bad, just how it is. Heck, I grow with it and I still build models, but boy do I love my techno stuff, social media included, I like living in the current year. Thats my one and half cents, your mileage may vary
