States love to do stings( AZ does) to see if they are in fact carding , and I know in AZ, if you fail to card someone that is under age, it was a $1k fine, they charged you with a misdemeanor and you lose your job , I dont recall what happens when you fail the stings, but it was just almost as bad, its been awhile since I last had to worry about carding people. And as its already been mentioned, each company has their own policy's on carding, and those ages to card are higher than 25, I know some go has high as 45 if I am recalling correctly, so yes, while it may be silly to card someone that is clearly north of being in their 20's, they are just doing their job, you know, that thing that pays their bills.
