Brad K Snap On 2018
martinfan5 replied to suprafastcelica's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
I think Bright Red would be a better choice over the Italian Red , and I would suggest to use the pink primer. -
This is one of those things that is gonna come down to builder preference , yes, the clear will help protect the decals, and some decals, like ALPS printed decals, should be clear over as they are not as durable and you can rub them off, Ive done it. Most of the top teams will clear coat over everything for the plate track cars.

AMT and MPC Please Put Out Significant Kits

Round2 is doing whats working for them, and I dont see them changing it anytime soon. It would be nice to see them do some new tooled kits , but its interesting to see what old long OOP kits they bring back. -
You guess correctly, I failed to check to make sure there was not a thread already for this subject. Ive been a member of Flickr since 2009, but it wasnt till Photobucket did there thing that I started using my Flickr account , I have just over 3500 photo's stored on my free account , all the older photos are all backed up locally so if I dont remove them before, no loss. I wont be paying them $50 or even $38 for a years worth storage, there are much cheaper options out in the wild west that is the internet

Like already stated, Revell wanted to make a kit for Toyota, but Toyota said no So, if you really want to build a KB Camry, and yes, its not gonna be cheap. First, you buy either a Ford Fusion or Chevy SS kit, then you buy this https://www.mikesdecals.com/resin-body-201516-toyota-camry-powerslide-p-4530.html Or https://www.mikesdecals.com/resin-body-201718-toyota-camry-powerslide-p-5163.html And then you find the decals. -
Following Photobucket's move to convert free accounts to paid, Flickr is doing the same, all free accounts that do not upgrade by 8th Of January, 2019, will be limited to just 1000 photos , and if you have more than 1000 photos, you have by 5th of February, 2019 to download the oldest photos before they are deleted, yep, you read that correctly, they are going to delete photo's from the free accounts. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/11/free-flickr-accounts-slashed-to-1000-pictures-the-rest-will-be-deleted/

Twitch and Discord are both heavily used by gamers, Twitch for them to stream their game play and then discord to chat about it, but Dave ( you ) are correct, forums , while still popular, they are not with the younger generations and they like to use other froms aka social media platforms to communicate with each other. -
Lets take a look at what I have done so far, the chassis, getting there, on the drivers side, I added the piece of padding that is between the driver and the left side roll cage. Rear axle set up pretty much done at this point, the trailing arms were brush painted with Model Master Metalizer Exhaust, the rear axle was painted Mr Surfacer Black, the wheel backs Metalizer Brunt Metal. [/url] Now this is how I lower the front the suspension, and this is the hardest part about lowering it , first, I start with the wheel backs, I cut out a notch the width of the spindle. And then I glue the wheel back directly to the spindle, but I move them up on the spindle a bit, and the result should be something like this, lowered ride height. I was all set to get the body painted tonight, and that is when I found out my compressor is not working, and seeing how I am going to use air brush ready paint, I wont be able to get this painted for bit why I either try and get mine working or get a new one ordered. I have a sad face right now.

Let's see what else I have done , The tires and wheels, the tires, using decals from Powerslide Decals, decals on the bare tires followed by a couple coats of Tamiya flat clear, they are a bit too shiny , even did a coat of dullcoat from Testors, might have to just go back to only using Dullcoat. Here is how I lower the rear suspension, first, while not the actual part that lowers it, the shocks , here you can see that I cut the shock shaft free, and then hollowed out the cylinder, I also shortened the shaft just a bit And now the shocks are ready for the new ride height( its adjustable right now) And the springs, I just cut a little off the top, and that lowers the rear end, I always need to add in shim or too.

Looks like you did a smashing job on it Matt
