Thank for you sharing that info Dale, does the ammonia need to be straight?, the exhaust turned out great.
-
Very nice work Dale, I have questions, how did you paint the springs, curious, what did you use on the exhaust piping?

Its a follow up to the Porsche Jr Tractor they did, part of the Easy Click System kits, it was a fun a little kit to build, looking forward to this one too.

Jim, I would NOT start with white primer, I would depending on the color you are planning to paint the body in either do a base coat of silver then white primer, or just grey primer. You didnt say what color you are planning on using, but if you are going to use darker color, then you should use grey primer, white should be used really for when you need to do a really lighter color, and or yellow. If you are going to use the white primer, doing a coat of silver first will simply make the process of doing the primer coats easier/quicker and you wont need to use as much primer to fully cover the red.

I highly recommend all of their primers.

The fitting on the regulator is 1/8NPT, I believe he posted on Facebook that he is using a Paasche branded A/B, so he would need a 1/8NPT to 1/4 fitting.

I have a stock of the HF brushes, they are worth the money. -

How about a light hearted discussion that has no real right/wrong answer, so, lets say you start a build at the end of the year and then finish it the following the year, which does that completed build count towards?, the year in which you started it?, or its when you finish it that matters? I am not sure where I stand on this one, but this close to the 2019, I wont start one now

If I Ran Revell....
martinfan5 replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It really doesn't, this forum is made up older skewing builders that really only have interest in older American subjects, and this forum can not be used to judge the interest of automotive model builders outside of it and the USA. -
If I Ran Revell....
martinfan5 replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Had to correct your statement, now its more factual. Your idea isnt all that bad and I have no idea if will actually have an impact, maybe if the subjects were a bit newer, something they can relate too, that is the part you totally ignored, you listed subjects that you can relate too, don't you think that is going to apply to kids , they might have more interest in stuff that they can relate too ?( and who says some wont relate to older stuff) I mean, that is what got me into model building as a kid, probably for you too. -
And it looks like Tamiya is gonna give us two new kits for 2019, a pre order listing has showed up for a 1/24th scale plastic model kit for the TS050, a release date of April is being shown, far as I know, this kit has not been officially announced yet. https://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/433adivnnzmc86pfvihm.html Will update this post when more info and or photo's become available.

Ive done this with out brands of spray cans, I take a paper clip, straighten it out, and stick it right down the valve to dislodge whatever was stuck in there( dried paint I would guess). It makes a bit of a mess , I would highly recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting paint on, gloves, eye protection might be a good idea as well, and should do it somewhere or place the can inside of something like a box or container that you wont mind getting paint on.
