Here we have the new tooled R31 kit from Hasegawa, this is the race version of this tooling, straight out the box, TS44 for the paint, no issues to speak of, over all I am moderately happy with how it turned out.

$100 adoption fee I feel is very reasonable, and that money is going to help a great cause, no kill shelters relay on that money to keep the lights on, I have no problems spending $100 to adopt a pet from one, just think about how much money you are saving , they are ready to go, they have all their shots, get a clean bill of health, most cases I believe even chipped, that is a absolute bargain. I agree, if that is too steep, maybe pet ownership is not something one should not be considering One of our two cats came from the AZ Humane Society, we got her during one of their adoption drives, we got her for under $100 I do believe, second cat we did not and spent more than $100 getting everything taken care of .

I think a block of butter would yield better results.

It really is a time and supply waster in my opinion as well, sometimes depending on mood, I might do the detailing, but most time if it wont be seen I wont.
