  1. Uh no, its not like that with any paint, Ive never had that happened with the other paints that I use( I use 2 stage auto paint), the only times Ive ever pulled up the 2k clear is when it was over Tamyia TS sprays, both times it was well past the cure window so it should not of happened, and when 2k clear is cured, Tamiya masking should not be pulling it up. I don't need to de-tact Tamiya masking tape because its never pulled up 2k clear when I use it over other paints. I was just sharing my experience , carry on
  2. Tamiya TS36 Fluorescent Red and TS 19 are the common ones used. If you have a airbrush, MCW Paints has the set .
  3. In my experience, the few times I tired clearing Tamiya TS paints with 2k clear, the clear did not stick to the paint , Tamiya masking taped was able to pull it off. But yes, in theory, 2k clear should not harm decals.
  4. First for 2023, fun kit, enjoyed building it, I really like Revell's Easy Click kits, Paint is Audi Silver from Scalefinishes, roof was painted with Graphite from the square jar and thinned with Mr Thinner so it would dry this decade. Had some of the same issues that Bob did, happy with how it turned out, of course, there is always room for improvement.
  5. Correct, all 2023 kits expect the #5 & 9 will have the new dash/panel pieces.
  6. Ford/Chevy/Toyota all have very similar placements , Ford/Chevy is on the outside on the side of the intake manifold, Toyota is on the underside.
  7. The dash is on the parts tree with the hood
  8. Adding an illustration to what James said, the gray is what will be different between Toyota/Ford/Chevy bodies( red is common between all makes)
  9. Nice shots of the Camry body
  10. All Nextgen kits released for the 2023 year after the 2023 Chase/Larson kit will have the new dash/switch panel pieces
  11. Sneak peak at one of the Toyota kits, the black is going to be all decal? Salvino's also showed off the new dash/switch panel's
  12. The last from 2022, Dodge D50 ( Coke reissue), wheels are from Scenes Unlimited, paint is Dodge Silver from Scalefinishes
  13. Finishing up one from 2022, Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Tamiya kit, Painted Jeep Light Champagne from Scalefinishes, this was the very first Tamiya kit I built, I was 13( mid 90's), I wanted to build one at my current skill levels and using more than just the ole Orange Tube glue and minimal paint.
  14. For 2023, all kits following the 2022 Ford kits and the '23 versions of the 9&5 kits will have updated hoods and finally a dash, the noses will not be updated, no biggie, you wont be able to see the changes after decals. Toyota final approvals should come within a week and we should be seeing some box art( most excited about this ) , sounds like they are getting the Monster approval( Monster doesn't do a lot of licensing) . They also just got the licensing for RCR, both Austin and Kyle's Camaro's are coming. '23 Legacy's cars 2023 Daytona 500 winner #47 Kroger Camaro.
  15. It just got release ,there is an Ebay seller that has some in stock for a decent price.
  16. Its what I plan on using, and used on the Gen 6 Logano one I built, its close enough for me , just not the pearl this time?. I think one of Tamiya's TS sprays might actually be closer match, but I'd need to do some more research.
  17. The Revell Gen 6 kits were the same way the, the engines were same between the Chevy/Ford, the only difference is Revell did tool up different valve covers for each make, but every other engine piece was the same.
  18. They are releasing two Discount Tire #2 kits( 2022 500 winner/2023), I going to say those are going to be molded in white, so I would say get one of those if you want a white body.
  19. Yes, Roush-Yates makes the Ford engines, Hendrick and ECR make engines for the Chevy, they joined their engine departments a few years ago and work together on building the R07 Engines, and TRD makes Toyota engines, and thats it for the Cup Series. Xfinity has some small engine builders left, but most of the teams are using engines from above, the Truck Series is using crate engines from ILMOR.
  20. One additional piece of info, the engine is the same from the Camaro kits, they (Salvino's/Mikes Decals) keep adding additional detail decals to the decal sheets, so that is cool, new on the Fords ( they might be on the latest Camaro kits too) window tear off pulls and jack bolt marking decals.
  21. As NASCAR fan and a JDM fanboi, I love it, looks the part, well done.
  22. They were the best NASCAR kits tooled I think once you get past the issues which werent hard to fix, I really enjoyed building all the ones I did, they blow the 90's era Revell NASCAR kits out of the water if you will. Revell did not do a large run of them , Harvicks had the most at 10k piece run, Chase had 5k , I have no idea how many Danica's had, but I am guessing it was 5k. I have some left and wont be letting of go them .
