Hobbico - BANKRUPT!
martinfan5 replied to niteowl7710's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, so it would be very easy for them to switch over to paperless instructions, I would say maybe keep some info in the kit, like decal placement if you will and say maybe the paint table for the the kit. -

Not really a terrible idea, saves a ton on paper, and money, make instruction available as a PDF on their website , I would be get behind that, people could print off any pages they may want. I say bring it on. A lot tech stuff no longer includes the old user manual, if you want or need it, you visit the company website and get the file yourself, I am not saying I always agree with it or like it, but so far, I have not noticed a difference in my life by the switch. -
Is NA$CAR for sale?
martinfan5 replied to 935k3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Its NASCAR, not "nastycar", but yes, you are right, they have done a good job of running into the ground. I am just going to say one thing , NASCAR getting new owners does not guarantee that things will get better, this is very much one of those be careful what you wish for types of things. I would love to see NASCAR get righted and the 3rd gen France Family out , they clearly only care about money. -

NASCAR is not for sale yet, this just a exploratory move to see if there would be any interested parties. -

If I am thinking I know what you are talking about, no they wont, we are gonna need a large tube of popcorn ready. -
Thank you for subscribing to the YT channel, I hope I can offer some content that might be helpful to you, I did put this is one there but just after it was completed , its really the same thing you are seeing here. But I am thinking about starting a building the new NASCAR kits video and go over some of the things that I do to make it them better. There are a few decal sheets for the 16-18 Fusion kit( the Danica kit can be used for those years) , there are more, but those decals I think are better suited for builders that have some more experience, not saying you cant, but they are very easy to mess up and they are not cheap , so here you go here, you and do a search for Ford Fusion you will find the decals for this kit. https://www.mikesdecals.com/

Talk about a waste of time, and the point would be for what?, just sit back and relax and wait to find out what is going to happen, speculating does nothing productive. -
Thank you guys

McLaren 570S, Plamoz wheels, Scalefinishes paint. Only real complaint about this kit is the door fitment, it sucks , and the ride height needs to be lowered, I did the front, but not back, and the engine cover doesnt fit very well.

Just keep in mind that pricing is going to vary for Canada vs us down here in the US, without knowing what all options you got, I priced one out at $55k. ( based on what I could see on yours) 2019 Rams are starting out at $31,695, and the Larmie 4x4 package starts out at $44,190 Trucks are hot, people want trucks and dont mind paying for them, FCA is just playing the game and gonna cash in on the trend.

Here we have Aric's Smithfield Ford Fusion for the 2018 year, decals are from Stoney, and me, you see, I pulled a rookie move and did not put enough of a clear coat on to protect the decals from masking , so I ended up ruining the roof number and part of the Smithfield, so I was able to print them myself and do a patch job. It needed another clear coat but I was done that point. Lowered the ride height, added the splitter, added one of the mixing roll bars, added some window bracing, tire decals from Powerslide. Made a low downforce spoiler.

For your consideration today. Keeping the R35 tread doing for 2018 is the 2015 North American R35 GTR Premium Edition, painted in a color that if I owned it would like to have it painted in, Nissan Bayside Blue from Scalefinishes, the wheels and trim were painted with GTR trim and wheel grey from Scalefinishes. I did lower the ride height to help kind of compensate of the underside wheels to kind of feel up the wheel well. Since this would be a AZ car, some tint on the windows. That is about it, very pleased with how it turned out.

Powerslide decals
martinfan5 replied to bbowser's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Bruce, that is going to be my next project, Blaney's Fusion, but to be on topic, they are very straight forward, there is nothing to watch out for, they are great, but take Michel's tip, once you put some settling solution, dont touch them. I take that back, some of the larger decals, use some setting solution on them. -

Such an awesome kit, its a shame that Aoshima really screwed it up with all the ill fitting body panels, you are doing a wonderful job, I want to get another one as the first I did I butchered it to hell and back to get everything to fit. I might PM you sometime Dann to get some notes from you -
Thank you Thank you Thank you , Its Testor's Graphite Met, I mixed it with Mr Thinner , it needs a black base.

I need to make mentioned that the paint is not Mclaren Burton Blue, Jameston mixed up McLaren Cerulean Blue instead. Now, getting very close to being done with this, just gotta get the doors on, I am going to have fit issues with one, so that is going to be fun
