  1. Could always paint it green like Mincer.
  2. Well stop rambling on about buying one if you obviously don't want one that bad Pal. Your attitude hasn't improved a whole lot with a name change has it.
  3. welcome Dave, starting to see some familiar names on here, Shoey, Deecee, Helix(Ray64) and the rest of the crew. Good to see the ANZAC (Australian New Zealand Automotive Crew)finding their way here.
  4. If you want one so bad import one, simple as that. If your nephew wants one too, stick them in the same container and save some dollars. Should've done it when our dollar was stronger.
  5. Amazing save and great end result.
  6. This is looking great, cant wait to see it progress.
  7. Sad loss indeed.
  8. That's why my factory sealed kits get opened as soon as they arrive Ray. I love the old MPC kits, but sadly this is a common occurance.
  9. That's fairly impressive if it's MPH.
  10. Original had green glass Steve and no sleeper. I've got the T500 issue brown box art one here with the sleeper and the original tow truck issue. The grills were different on later issues and is and easy way to distinguish between them on the box arts.
  11. Great work Shawn, keep it up mate.
  12. Both in great condition when I opened them Carl, slight scratches on the glass as expected but everything else nice. I always open them to make sure the tyres haven't eaten into the glass over the years. Some of the stuff they made early tyres out of seams to dissolve and fuse into the windscreens.
  13. Here's a better pic of Bills 33.
  14. Thanks guys.
  15. Still progressing on this one, got colour on the guards today, hopefully clear them tomorrow than I'll polish the whole lot at the same time. Cheers Rob
  16. Another two old MPC vans arrived today, bought off ebay from a seller in the US. Factory sealed when they arrived, not anymore. Slowly getting all the van kits, love the early MPC ones.
  17. Awesome build, love the detail you've put into it.
  18. Always good to learn more about what van kits they made, the differences I wasn't aware of and the pics you've compiled Tom are useful as I can at least see what was released. I asked the question along time ago on another forum if anyone had ever done a kit history or list of van kits made but got no useful feedback. I was chasing a check list to cross them off as I get them. The story about the guy destroying the built ups is criminal, the only built ups I've bought have been past saving and I got for parts, spares and maybe a 6 wheeler project. The Truckin USA issue was a 1974 release, more than happy for you to use my pic mate. I collect van kits so anyone that needs pics of the box arts, if I've got one I'm happy to share pics if it helps build a complete list.
  19. Been buying a few kits lately but two of the ones I've been chasing for awhile and finally got were these two. Brought two of these ones factory sealed. And finally got this one I've been chasing for ages, it was factory sealed to but factory seals don't last long in my house.
  20. Excellent build, really looks the part.
  21. Australian Native Landscape supplies and Freestones have a few Peterbilts out here and as mentioned there's been a few imported and converted. I also heard the black Peterbilt out of the movie "Black Dog" is also living in Australia now. Type either Freestones Peterbilt or Australian Native Landscapes Peterbilt into Google images and it brings a few decent pics of them up.
