There are two lips on the quarter panel of the model to positively locate the caps. They fit very nicely to the quarters, better than the 1:1 GMs of the era that I have messed with.

I haven't done anything other than glue the endcaps on. It looks pretty good, as does the '68.

No Italian food! Makes me fart! One of my favorite movie lines.

Markers are included on the decal sheet, so moving them down wouldn't be too hard.

So, I attached the end caps on mine and started to mock up the rear bumper fit. It doesn't look as bad as the picture, but the chrome on my bumper is all screwed up. Of course, no replacement parts from Revell can be shipped to the US due to Covid. Guess I will probably have to keep an eye on eBay for the vultures to get their hands on one. It's too large and not in a spot that I want to try Molotow on.

Good grief! I have received so many resumes with really stupid e-mail addresses on them. "partyboy_justin@gmail.com" or "easygirl_jessica@hotmail.com" aren't email addresses for a professional resume. As Tom says, make it a g-rated derivative of your name. If you have to add numbers, "666" is a bad idea. And I too think that technology has left someone who still uses an aol.com email address in 2020. Is AOL still a thing?

The ‘other’ mag is stopping publication

Great. This seems like good news, but..... The magazine needs to be distributed to newsstands, Barnes & Noble, etc. My one remaining LHS does not carry magazines. Barnes & Noble seems to be working themselves into an early grave along with not carrying magazines in general. Probably won't subscribe, and if I can't buy an interesting issue at a newsstand.... I won't be seeing it. I wanted a couple of the Covid issues of SA, but either my local Barnes was closed or they never received them. Cut my teeth on Model Car Science at the local grocery store. The latest issue was always accepted in Mom's grocery cart. I wish it was that easy now. -

I have had a Tamiya kit on the "Shelf of Doom" since 1985 because of recurring paint issues. I think I have the technology to finally finish it now, lol. Congratulations on getting this one to the finish line!

Color of 1967 Oldsmobile engine?
Rodent replied to Michael Norden's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for chiming in Steve. I am not sure what the OP is going to find in a bottle or rattle can in Ukraine that is close to this color. I am slightly older than you are and I don't remember ever seeing a bronze Olds engine in real life. The non-blue ones I remember including the one I owned were gold like your pic. -

Color of 1967 Oldsmobile engine?
Rodent replied to Michael Norden's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
One of our resident builders used a Chrysler Turbine Bronze (car body paint) on his 442. Testors in the US used to make a Chrysler Bronze metallic that is probably the closest you will find in a spray can if it was ever offered in your country. -
They suggest both the KW and Pete as suitable to pull it. I suppose that you would have to slide the 5th wheel back most of the way.

I believe that 1970 Camaro production didn't start until around February 1970, so that is actually fairly early in the run. I personally like the smaller rear spoiler because it's a bit more unusual, but it's all good.

not going there....

Dropped by the LHS today and they had the Chevelle. Grabbed the trailer while I was at it, and some Tamiya paint.

Without getting too far into it, at the time this happened he was already getting a "reputation". I figured that if he had the parts in stock (I don't even remember what I wanted) I would probably get them. Overall, I have had good luck getting stuff that is "cast to order". I even got something from Perry's in less than a year!

Thanks guys. I have a couple I am looking at on "The 'Bay".
