  1. Dropped by the LHS today and they had the Chevelle. Grabbed the trailer while I was at it, and some Tamiya paint.
  2. Without getting too far into it, at the time this happened he was already getting a "reputation". I figured that if he had the parts in stock (I don't even remember what I wanted) I would probably get them. Overall, I have had good luck getting stuff that is "cast to order". I even got something from Perry's in less than a year!
  3. Thanks guys. I have a couple I am looking at on "The 'Bay".
  4. Cool, thanks Randy.
  5. On 17 headed toward Santa Cruz ? ?
  6. The Revell Foose version that was just out a few years ago was about $60 at the LHS.
  7. The 1/16th scale Revell Camaro was ~$60 when it originally hit the LHS. I liked it, but not $60 worth of like. Still want one I think.
  8. Guys, Are the decorations on the Crown Premiums diecasts tampo or something easily removable with lighter fluid or similar? I see a few that I might like to have, but I would want to remove the advertising logos.
  9. makes gluebombs easier
  10. I have an extension ladder that was my Dad's, and the across the street neighbor's before that until downsized into a condo. It still has the shipping label to the corner hardware store. Pre-ZIP code too!
  11. photoetched detailing parts
  12. His "old" business model isn't going to fly on eBay. I have seen his stuff on there, but the GTO parts Brandon posted don't make me think I will be ordering anything from him though. Years ago, I wanted some of his parts, so I contacted him. He wouldn't give me a straight answer as to whether the parts were in stock or if he was casting to order. I passed.
  13. Long time auto builder, but I have built very few big rigs. I want to pick up the reissued AMT Haulaway trailer, but I can't decide what to pull it with. I know that AMT got into the truck business in the early 70s and most of their trucks were contemporary when they were introduced. I would like something older though, maybe 1964-68 vintage or earlier. I know that with a few modifications the Ford C-series can be backdated to the late 1950s, but what else is on the market that could play the part? One of the Macks? I *think* that the R685 could pass for a 1966, including the kit engine? I build resin, I am not afraid of resin, but I really don't want resin for this project unless I have no other choice. Thanks guys!
