  1. Slip and slide with Powerglide! Er, some of the other guys might know that term. Probably one of my least favorite transmissions.
  2. Can't see bolting a Slip-N-Slide to an LS, but it should clear the tunnel.
  3. Thinning a bit on the top myself, but wouldn't consider it bald. That said, I am slowly returning to my high school class of 197x hairstyle. It's still wavy on the sides, so it's driving me crazy...
  4. Not sure what you ordered, but the T-56 is quite large, as is the 1:1. You might have to modify the tunnel for clearance.
  5. Because the Corvette has a rear mounted gearbox. Kris Morgan casts some very nice resin conventional transmissions that sell for $3.95 He has both a 700R4 and a T56 available.
  6. I really like this. As soon as the world reopens and I can use my Hobby Lobby coupon, I gotta get one of these. I have been staring at them and not buying. Not sure if the LHS has it or not. (Still open).
  7. I am not aware of any of the decal guys doing it and the kit doesn't have it. I have successfully printed my own underhood decals and would probably take a crack at this one if I needed one. It would come out grey on an ink jet rather than silver, but might be close enough to work.
  8. Was at the LHS for paint. Owner lady was literally 1 foot away from a couple and their children while showing them some model rocket stuff. I was wearing a mask, not because I think it will protect me, but it sends a message to the people who have to work during this. Saw a dad/son with masks and one other really old guy with one. Everyone else, no. Still had to break up the RC Bros to get something for a locked display case. Stupid. This is why we are buying online.
  9. I ordered $70 worth of paint from Burbank's and figured out that I needed something else. My LHS Web page didn't say much, their Fakebook page was inconclusive, so I called them to see if they were doing curbside or whatever. Nope. They are open for business as usual. I don't want to send this thread down the political sewer, but let's just say that I believe that the family that runs it would be considered "deniers". No masks, no sneeze guards, only a suggestion of social distancing. Anyway, it's good to have them open and I can protect myself as I do in Home Depot or the grocery store. Maybe they are an essential business? Anyway, If you are on the west coast and need hobby shop stuff, I must recommend Burbank's again for Internet orders. Not everyone has an LHS open like I do and it sucks to not have supplies.
  10. Don't tell the county, but my LHS decided they were essential and have been open through this whole mess.
  11. Well, the 1955 Buick "Century 68" made it to the diecast world. You would think that it would have sold in the plastic world as well as the Mobeus Hudsons or the Revell 50 Olds, but it probably would be harder to get multiple kit versions from.
  12. You know that if you do that, they are going to introduce a different diameter spray can......
  13. I must admit that I was a trade virgin before Sam. I have sent parts out many times for free, but this was my first official trade. I have something else that Sam wants, but I don't have permission to trade it right now. I teased him with a photo this afternoon.
  14. As did I. Really nice guy and I would definitely trade with Sam again. It's nice to be on the same coast so that shipping isn't horrible.
  15. 66 Country Squire resin by Paul Hettick.
  16. I agree with you and Tom on this. Same thing with aluminum and other metal colors. Not everything is the same color or sheen on a 1:1 and having different paints adds visual interest to the build.
  17. Paul apparently saw this post and sent me a message. The pictured seats are "early production" and shouldn't have shipped with the kit. He said that the new ones are much nicer and he is sending me a set of them. Standup guy!
  18. The 1:1 has a character line under the molding. I am not sure how to remove the molding but keep the line. Possibly taping it off as suggested, and carefully sanding it round? Country Squires typically don't have the molding. Google a picture of one of those and you can see what it looks like without the molding. I wasn't having much luck finding a sedan with plain sides.
  19. One of my favorite shows to this day. Dad and I used to laugh our @xxes off and Mom didn't understand what we found so funny. Godspeed Eb, Parkinsons isn't fun. It's beginning to consume a good friend of mine.
  20. Don't underestimate rats!
  21. https://www.ebay.com/usr/robbbbbb57 Hope this works.
