The seller IS Paul Hettick. He typically posts his resin kits every other Sunday night. The only thing he has for sale right now is a built 64 Squire, but tomorrow shold bring another round of kits. I have never seen him offer parts, and he only sells through eBay. You could message him through eBay and see what he says. He is also a member on here. Good luck!

Aging on Transparent Steering Wheels
Rodent replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I have an original AMT 72 Nova and an original 72 GMC stepside that are Testor's silver with glosscote. After all these years, they have a greenish tinge to the normal yellowing. Kind of look like olive green metallic. Hope your steering wheels don't turn green! -
Well...... The Caprese salad was so-so because it is nearly impossible to get decent tomatoes around here unless you grow them yourself. Basil isn't an issue because the supermarkets sell the living plants for about $3. Funny you should mention Julia Child. My spousal unit is from SoCal. Graduated from UC Santa Barbara with bachelor's degree and post graduate degree. Been back there many times. Julia lived there and pretty much acted like a regular person, going out shopping, etc. until she got too old. I remember driving on upper State Street in the early 1990s and stopping for a red light. I made a comment about the tall old man in drag crossing the street in front of us, and through hysterical laughter, I heard the words, "You dumbarse, that's Julia Child".

Again not dinner, but made these scones from scratch last weekend. Never tried to make them before, but they were amazing. I used (modified) a recipe from a friend's blog.

Have a bit of a backlog, but.... Buttermilk fried chicken, mashed red spuds, homemade whole wheat Irish soda bread.

I have recently fallen down a rabbit hole watching Highway Patrol on YouTube. I knew of this not awful diecast, so I ordered one. It's going to get some detail love, but I don't know how soon. Already peeped the threads on here about detailing it, and I am still trying to figure out how to mask the hubcaps and paint the rest of the wheel black. Needs an antenna, but will probably attach the tip to the drip rail so the car will fit in a case.

Hobby Lobby re-opening
Rodent replied to Mike999's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
New one near me in an old ToysRUs as well. I am not sure if they actually ever opened before they closed. It will be nice to have one really close to the spouse's beloved Barnes and Noble when things open up again. -

The state rules are that you can't move to stage 2 until your county has zero deaths in the last 14 days, or you go rogue and open anyway. Sacramento County has some issues with COVID-19 in nursing homes right now, and we have had two deaths in the last 14 days, both in nursing home situations. Placer County is largely fairly rural, except for the western part. They are cleared for stage 2, so the Hobby Lobby in Roseville is open. We won't see that happening in Sacramento County until stage 2 is cleared, I don't think. The derailed locomotive is a little harsh IMHO, since we were talking about how different areas are opening up at different rates. Can you find an image of a caboose with one truck derailed instead? ? -

Hobby Lobby re-opening

SoCal is still pretty ugly, especially LA County. Things are starting to bloom a little around here and parts Northward. As I mentioned earlier, our one LHS here never closed. Not sure how, but they didn't. -

Looks like Sacramento county is still closed, the store in Placer County shows "open". -
revell 55-57 chevy info needed
Rodent replied to jeffdeoranut's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I sold one in this box a while ago. Unbuilt. Been in my stash since the 80s. I always thought I would build it, but it just never made it to the bench. My cousin and I built one in 1974 and gave it to our uncle as a replica of the 1:1 he had as a young man. I seem to remember it going together OK. It was presentable when we were done anyway. -

My semi-informed opinion is that your lacquer thinner was too hot for the primer.

Never had any of the Falcons other than a 64 convertible built-up that I acquired in 1988 or so. Looking at online 66-69 instruction sheets, it looks like none could be built stock. Looks like an FE-like blob with Webers is the stock engine. Does that sound right to those of you who have seen one?
