  1. Your paint is extremely nice!
  2. You need a team of archeologists to come and dig in your house! Think of the ancient relics they could find!
  3. Wow! And 1000 of them were Zeb's!!
  4. These two guys were the picture of dignity and decorum! Many great yucks were had by all!
  5. Simon, You deserve an award for building the Tameo 312! That kit is not for the faint-of-heart. You built it so perfectly too. It was one of my favorite models in the show! See you in '09
  6. I was wondering about the hot plate. I balance mine on my mattel vac-form to heat up the plastic sheet before vac-forming. I will have to build a real vac-former one of these days!
  7. Very cool! Motor? Is that the exhaust coming out of the fender?
  8. Jimmy Flintstone doesn't know what kind of floor he has anymore. It's all resin and pewter!!
  9. I once got the spiderweb carcking you mention but it came out a year after I painted the car and the problem was that I was using Lacquer touch-up paint over an aerosol primer. Once I switched to quarts of unthinned primer, thinned out and airbrushed I have almost never had any paint problems.
  10. I'm thinking mauve! Seriously I hope to be able to tip a few glasses with all of you in attendance. Do they make good martinis out there?
  11. Nice detail, nice look, nice paint! We will be competing together in Street Rods in a few days at SLC. You are a worthy and formidable opponent! 8)
  12. Dang! You do nice work. I particularly like the bracing underside of the body. That is a great looking model. 8)
  13. I like it but I am prejudiced. Send me pics when you are done and I will post them in my gallery. Great job!
  14. I use Rustoleum black enamel and can say that stuff is super shiny. I decant and airbrush it. Ditto on the ix-nay regarding clear. It looks like silver paint after.
  15. I really like all your detailing. The whole car has a great look and ties together well. Thanks for showing it to us.
  16. Bill, Best wishes to your mother. I am sure you are a great comfort to her. The Turbine keeps looking better each time I look. It is a very cool project. Today I reworked the form for the Firebird III bubbletops. They snap into the opening and stay in place without glue now. I was quite pleased with that. It will be fun to see the turbine cars together sometime. Take care, Andy
  17. It depends on what is being sold. a really choice kit will always get good action no matter when it ends. If it is something more common, it definitely helps to have the auction end in the evening hours. The only times I try to avoid is Friday and Saturday evening.
  18. I like it.
  19. Cool! Real clean, tasteful. You Brits do understated very well. Cheers!
  20. That's very cool. The gray front cover is most definitely better than the red. Have you seen pictures of Dino Martin's (Dean's son) street Ferrari 330 P4? Your 910 reminds me of that. The P4 was a little wilder color wise - chrome yellow with blue wheels!!! 8) It ran 4 glass-packs for exhaust!
  21. Bill, As someone who has done professional model building I feel I am well qualified to give you this advice, FUGGEDABOUTIT! Keep the day job. The hourly doesn't always break down that good and then dealing with the customers. Paul got lucky on that Chrysler but most of his go for much less than that. The ones I have seen go for $150.-400.00. McDonald's pays better than pro-building unless you can do the Wingrove thing. I'll give you $100.00 for your 58 Chevy Convert!!!!!!!!
  22. Imagine having $325,00.00!!!!
  23. Actually that engine and trans look like the hemi unit in the AMT 53 Studebaker.
  24. It was a tube frame car and there really isn't a very good donor to make a full detail model. I am planning on making mine a curbside. If I was to make a full detail model I would probably start with a Monogram 82 Camaro pro stock. That would require major surgery to cut it down to Omni size. That would be a big job for sure.
  25. Definitely an in-out box. They were used a lot in sprint cars, too.
