If you don't burnish the black foil too hard it works great. Hard burnishing results in the black coming off. A black marker works great also on silver foil...

Justin, I have used a model master gun metal on those spokes. I have also spayed semi gloss or flat black in a paint lid and brushed the spokes. You can do the same if you want to use grey primer. It works for me. Engine looks great. You doing some fine work....

Its just best to drive what you like and feel comfortable in. Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, VW,Toyota, and Honda are made in America. We have to drive something why not be happy.
