  1. Wouldn't F-60's be the correct tires for this car. I don't think you could put L-60's on the front of a real Olds 442.
  2. The older kits had the bed cover. They also had a clear bed cap that made it look like a van.
  3. The original issue of this kit had the same tires as Monogram's 56 and 58 T-Bird kits and they still fit the wheel backings in last reissue of this kit. The original could be built stock except the interior. It had a stock dash, steering column, and steering wheel. It even had a rear bumper. And the bumpers were smooth. They didn't have any guards or the big over rider the front bumper has now. This kit had a lot of custom parts. It had a grille filler and three bar grille, headlights, taillights"for the stock fenders",smoothed running boards, rear pan.57 Chevy rear fenders with Corvette tailights,"like AMT's 53 Ford Pickup",ribbed bumpers, chrome exhaust that mounted along the top of the bed, tire cover, wire wheels, two bed covers, spot lights, gear shifter, chrome steering column, and a 61 Impala steering wheel.
  4. I just bought the new Avanti. I have to say the new Halibrand wheels are better than the originals. They're on their own seperate chrome tree. Yes, the racing radiator filler is in the new kit. It has the new parts pack Firestone thin white walls and Goodyear Blue Streak Special Stock Car tires.
  5. The Revell Parts Packs motorcycles were last released in the Grease Series. The Harley and Honda set sold on eBay recently for $132.50.
  6. Nice model. Where did you get that grille screen?
  7. I don't know what you mean by the orientation of the flags. All 1956 to 1962 Corvette spinners are the same.

I think those wheels are Otaki #OTP-10-300.I think they were first produced in the 1980's.
  9. If they don't have to be Monogram.AMT's 1963 Impala has American 200-S wheels. All four are skinny wheels. American 200-S wheels are rare. The only other model I can think of is MPC's 1970 Challenger.
  10. Thanks for the info Jim. I just checked hamptonblowers.com and there's one of his superchargers on there set up for three four barrel carbs.I don't think I've ever seen that on a real car.I might have to try that on one of my projects.
  11. I thought I read somewhere that the Vandal has an unusual supercharger.Does anyone know what type or brand of supercharger it is?
  12. I wonder why Monogram deleted the louvered hood and hood sides.Only the original issue has these parts.
  13. I think it might look better with a MPC 32 Chevy frame and the wheels from Monograms Fire Iron kit.
  14. The original issue Austins had posible steering.I have the 1976 Wrench Connection issue and it has posible steering. Dartman; The Henry J has the same front axle the Austin has.
  15. What is the part next to the bucket seats?
  16. Imagine those Bug House decals on a VW van towing a VW bug on a trailer.Make a nice drag team.
  17. AMT's 1963 Ford F-100 with the go kart. This model had 3 custom grilles, hood scoop, roof scoop, rear window fillers, tonneau cover, hydraulic lifts, rear fender fins, tailgate filler, custom taillights, rolled pans, nerf bars, spot lights, chrome steel wheels,knock-off gas cap, side pipes, steering wheel cover, head rests, telephone, gear shift,a cute little statue of AMT's THE KAT,and a really unique Paxton style supercharger. It also had a service truck option with flashing red roof light, running lights, push bumper, gas and oil cans, lug and torque wrenches, pit board, and air horns. Even the go-kart could be built two ways! It's at the very top of my wanted reissue list.It was reissued in the late 60's with a over the cab camper cap.
  18. No stock tires. No sale! Are you listening REVELL?
  19. I love this! Check out carsonline.com.There's great photos of a 55 woody.Several interior photos.
  20. The ground effects are optional on the Revell kit. This is great for me .I ordered my Camaro without ground effects and without the sunroof.I have a 2SS/RS 400HP Automatic. It's Inferno Orange with white SS stripes and the orange and black interior.
  21. Supercharged Gas Coupes book by Don Montgomery.
  22. I'm working on a couple gasser projects using this kit.MPC's 32 Ford Switchers frame fits this model very nicely. Also AMT's 32 Ford frame fits.I'm also using AMT's 40 Willys frame on one them. The AMT 40 Willys pick up bed fits.
  23. Where did you get the headlights?
  24. Something no one has mentioned is MPC's kit is the MK IV that won 1967 Sebring race. The car was yellow with black stripes.Note the front wheel lip flares.I don't think the LeMans car had these wheel flares.
