Oops what was I thinking, thanks!

You can certainly try the dehumidifier, but I highly doubt that it will get hot enough to let the plastic relax. But, maybe some brands of dehumidifier will...

I think they are both salvageable. I use dry heat, as in a hair dryer, not a heat gun. Some guys I have heard use warm to hot water. I like the dryer so I can control the heat and manipulation better. You need to tape it down to something flat and similar size, you may need to do this in stages for the really bad one, but remember to 'over straighten' a bit as it will spring back a small amount. Heat body evenly, slowly and be patient, when finished a round of heat, you can hit with cool air to set it, but let it taped up for a couple hours at minimum (or overnight) to set a new memory within the plastic,

I have used the styrene from the guy on eBay, which was suggested by someone else on here first, because it keeps shape after bending. Even used to make the headers shown in pic. I use a wire bender from my slot car scratch building tools. No heat!

Decided to remake headers, almost done, added support plate for bolt up and shortened the height a bit. Working on grill area, body first shot of primer to see everything I have missed, cast some parts... valve covers, oil pan, timing cover, etc.

Everything I had on my watch list that ended was never relisted, and now gone. A search for his username turns up nothing.

I would check with Fireball Motorworks, Fujimi makes lots of smaller tires and wheels, also slot car tires for 1/32 cars may work

Started reworking the smallblock, it's ready for some color. Trans is done, and scratch built the headers.

So looking forward to finding one of these plus the Revell LeMans edition.

Ok, well it's been a busy month, but I have tackled some detail issues. Interior essentially done, some pieces I have to mount after front of firewall is painted orange. Also altered license plate indent, which actually is where the parachute goes. Had to recreate the trunk chrome, it was not filled out when it was cast.

Again, he is just getting this new site up and running. 'Out of stock' is a default setting. Contact him with requests to make an order.

Had a fun time as usual at the Sharon, PA model swap meet, despite the impending weather. Picked up some modeling supplies, a nice set of aluminum wheels from Vince, and the following pics...

Household Products To Stain Wood?
64SS350 replied to OldNYJim's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you pour some vinegar over some steel wool, let sit for at least a day, use use treated vinegar to stain wood. Test first if you like color, all wood species will accept it differently. -
I use an old detail swab tube, or could use anything similar (tube) and have a small bit of blue tack(sticky tack for posters and such) on the end. Use this for lots of small parts. You may need something handy to hold in place ( pick or scribe) to help release from blue tack, depends on how hard you press and adhersion of " glueing agent"

I think I’m done with Duplicolor
64SS350 replied to Brutalform's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Could be the mixed use of Duplicolor and Tamiya primers. I've had mixed results when I have used the different brands together. I also started using Dupl. primer sealer over the primer sometimes.
