  1. HA!! Don't make me laugh to hard Joe! If you just started detailing I am very impressed with your skills. I will see if I can take a pic of the stuff I have.
  2. Nice Job on the Tabs Tyrone, and very clean job on cutting the doors out! Did you have to do any clean up on the lines? I usually mess up half way though and have to fix something because I slipped. Say a few cuss words and say, "Oh Well.... it is just a model and can be fixed." LOL One thing I noticed is the shifters, these look much nicer than the old crappy ones that I seem to recall. They were chrome and all in a horizontal line, had no bends or showed them in any certain order. I have to ask, what Pro Stock kit do you always use, because they seem to go really well with all of your builds. It was like they were meant to go together. Anyway, awesome job on the progress you are making!
  3. Nice Job Joe! I like that you used a rigid styrene, any reason why you did use some PhotoEtch screen and cut the Rad from that? My 1/16 Kenworth W900 Conventional should be on my door step next week! Then I will have to break the box open and begin assessing what I want to replace with Wedico parts from Garden Trucking. I want to try and figure out a 4link rear suspension for it. I guess it would be something like the floating suspension? You stated you build your own frames from C Channel. What is the size just curious? 3/4 x 1/4 by chance?
  4. Thanks Jerome, this is the truck that I was talking about. That is odd, I guess it was a Rig with similar tribal flames.
  5. Thanks guys for the pictures... Earl, awesome Night Rider stretched truck, especially the custom stretched nose and cab. Clayton, any updated pictures on that Lime Green Rig? That thing looks cool. Matthew, your stretched Ford LTL looks like a house on wheels. Nice job, I appreciate everyone posting your works of art! Thank you all.
  6. Thanks Doug for the website I really appreciate it, I will have to check it out. Does anyone know if there is a Maximum Length requirement? Or can a Rig be as long as they want? These are exactly what I am working towards and the Orange one I have as Wallpaper on my Laptop, but I have it from the other direction. I really like the twin headlights with Big and Smalls. Sorry about the Bagged comment, I know they are all sitting on Air Bags, what I wasn't aware of is that you could completely let the air out of them. The reason I said bagged is the West Coast Custom SEMI Blue with Green Tribal Flames (Convertible) shows laying frame and has some sort of 4 Link Rear suspension. I was curious to know what this actually looks like. To help I purchased 2 back issues of Overdrives Custom Rig's Magazines from winter 2009 (Project ONE) and Summer of 2010 issues (Ivy's POISON)
  7. You did a great job on the car.... but where is it again in this picture? All I can see is the girl! Keep us posted once the Murals are finished, this is just an awesome replica of an outstanding LowRider. So I have to ask the wheels are those hand made as well?
  8. Man Tyrone this looks perfect, you make me want to go out and by the 1/24 69 yenko camaro and use one of my pro stock kits! I was at the Hobby store last night and saw that Chi Town Hustler with those wheels almost picked it up... I had already spent enough money and had to resist. Let me tell you it wasn't easy!
  9. Since you are on the topic of Semi Trailers, can someone point me in the direction of a site that would show me the skeleton of a Stacker Auto Hauler? On the T&E Stacker Trailer site, they have some pics but they are way to small for me to use as reference pics. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
  10. Looks amazing... I remember putting this kit together as a tween, what a blast from the past.
  11. Coming along there pretty nicely Joe. Are you avoiding that drivers area and getting that framed in?
  12. Joe any updates for us? Oh on a side note I just got a communication saying they were starting on my 1st order from TDR/Shapeway. The original email said I should receive the item on 10/7, so it is definitely more like I said earlier. Give it 4-6 weeks to receive the item once ordered.
  13. Derrick, this pic right here looks like the frame is sitting in a garage and someone is working on putting the rear end together. Very nice job on putting this together, the color on the frame looks great!
  14. I like the start of your new project and may have to keep an eye out for one of those models for the wheels and tires!
  15. Oh man Dave.... you had me at separate pieces! That would be so AWESOME, to not have to chop a car up to get it to open! And you would know right from the beginning everything is going to fit the first time without having to worry about cutting something wrong and going back and filling it back in. I have my fingers and toes crossed in hopes this does come to fruition!
  16. Dr. Cranky, you made it look so simple I just may have to give this a try! Very awesome build you have going on as well.
  17. Fantastic job John, and by the sounds of it you mastered this project pretty quickly. So what is next on the workbench?
  18. Very impressive, I like what you have done with it and the detail is off the chain. Nice job!
  19. Chris, I think you own stock in Scale Hardware... with all the detail work you have been doing lately on your dragster!
  20. Well darn, styrene is a bit more work as you stated. You can't cheat and just grind some of the thickness out. Just looking at what you can do, I am sure you will figure this out with a little elbow grease.... and a spoon full of sugar.. makes the medicine go down... the medicine go down... Oh wait.. I am getting hysterical here, we are talking cars not show tunes!
  21. Patience Young Jedi, as the force is strong is this master builder. He will work himself out of this predicament in due time.
  22. Paul, you can't get much better than that.... 1/8th scale plenty of detail!
  23. Most use Scale Hardware 00-90 which are US threads. I called the guy today and he told me he is moving towards Metric threaded bolts and will be phasing these out. So my suggestion would be to go with the 1.2mm Hex bolt. It is the same bolt diameter and head size. Only difference is the 1.2mm has a little thinner head and shorter length which isn't needed.
  24. Welcome and nice job on a very clean build!
  25. Looking nice Joe! I have a question for you, have you by chance messed with any of the Monogram 1/16 semi's? I am curious to know how much larger the 1/14 Tamiya stuff is, because I am thinking of building a stretched custom semi.
