Makes package soggy

I hadn’t been plagued with this in the past but had two posts with photos give me this error this morning. i recently saw another phenomena. I was always able to copy a photo from Fotki and paste it into a post. When I do that now I see the photo like normal but others said my post had no photos, just odd code where they should’ve been. Then when investigating I opened my post and saw those photos were in my post but not in the photo upload tray below. So now I copy Fotki photos to my Irfanview in my laptop and then copy them to the post. That seems to fix it. I’m working on a Windows 10 laptop with Chrome browser

Ron Hamilton has an interesting story about the final Scorpios and how they sat on the docks for a couple of years and were finally destroyed by Ford.

Great idea! I like the Tom Daniel cars since they were part of my youth. Whenever I asked my grandparents for models, this is what they'd buy! I like your assessment of the T'rantula parts count! As a kid I only had access to my father's paints in the basement, so mine became dark Christmas green! I sprayed everything one evening, and was surprised at how easy and quick it was to build. I finished it in one evening and had a credible model, that was very pleasing to 12 year old me! Nothing but good memories! I look forward to watching your progress and seeing your final build at NNL East!

Great car, poorly marketed in the USA.

Note I am NOT quoting your entire post! ? 2.5) Those very same people who cannot mail a package. They show up at the post office with an item in hand. When it's their turn they tell the clerk, "I want to send this to my brother." As if the clerk is going to wrap and package it, and knows his brother's address. Happened the other day... I asked the clerk and he rolled his eyes and told me it happens several times a day.

People and a Halloween event that went bad! Saturday we went with my daughter's family to take my grandchildren to their town's "Trunk or Treat" event. That's where families all park their cars in the park and dispense candy to each other's kids, in lieu of the more dangerous door to door begging that we did as kids. The event started out well. About 30 families participated and had the hatchbacks to their SUVs open and decorated for Halloween. One lady even brought coffee for everyone. Here we are with our three baby sharks (it's a kids show thing). My two year old grand daughter got the biggest charge of handing out the candy to the kids. This was supposed to go from 1pm to 3pm. We noticed past 2pm it picked up dramatically, there were a lot more kids and parents than cars! And the kids got grabbier and ruder. Fewer "Thank you"s and kids reaching around my grand daughter to grab candy directly from our box. Then it happened. Around 2:45, a girl pushed my grand daughter out of the way and dove into our box with both fists. That's when my daughter yelled "that's enough" and we grabbed up everything and proceeded to leave. As we attempted to leave, the road out of the park was full of people heading in on foot with kids with loot bags. We had to inch our way through, even though this was supposed to be closing time. 90% of the people there weren't participating, just taking!

Modeling for fun.....again!
Tom Geiger replied to GaryR's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It became fun for me once I stopped adding detail to impress contest judges. I stopped chasing that cutting edge of modeling because it just wasn't fun. Today when I add more to a model it's for the sense of personal achievement... the "do I think I can?" and then I'm pleased when I accomplish it. -
Wow! That wood work is really cool ?

What Did You Have for Dinner?
Tom Geiger replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Wow! Sounds great! I never had it that way, but no summer is complete without a Joisey boardwalk style Italian sausage with grilled peppers and onions topped with red sauce! -
Enuf Whitehouse drama!

Building your own chassis
Tom Geiger replied to olschoolkid's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you want to scratch build your own, best way is to copy a decent kit chassis. Take a look at the Foose 56 Ford pickup chassis. You can copy it, or simply modify it for your own application. A shortened Foose chassis under a Datsun pickup. -
Right now I have an ad for the Metropolitan Opera at the top and one for Koehler bathroom fixtures at the bottom. No ads in posts. Acceptable! (On my iPhone)

A relief to me that someone wasn’t going to be able to swindle her for a few dollars! -
What did you see on the road today?
Tom Geiger replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Was following this guy on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a Challenger with an identity problem. Note ‘cuda nameplate. Had big ‘cuda logos on lower doors, and was hoping it was one of those conversion kits, but when I saw the front it was just stock Challenger -

I had a 63 Lark with extensive rust in structural areas. We deemed it not worth fixing and I parted it out -
