  1. That came out really nice; LOVE the color of the paint, both interior and exterior! Well done. Chrome paint pen in English:? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256802662135765.html?sku_id=12000022453646324&spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.6deb2d66a2ICGQ&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt
  2. At those prices, pay the extra nickel and buy the Revell '59 referenced by Ace above, and you have a cool kit left over!
  3. I haven't! I scavenged some parts from one, mainly why I bought them, but I figure I'll build one of them down the road.
  4. I see a Red Coyote. I'd call that a successful test, unless you posted a green Coyote!
  5. Wonderfully detailed build of an impressive machine. Love the fins!
  6. Love these models as well as the real thing. VERY nice job on this one.
  7. Looks very nice! Great looking color for a handsome car. Well done.
  8. Back in the late 90sor early 2000s. K-B Toys stores were blowing these out for $1.99 each, and about once a month, run them on a buy-2-get-one-free special. I got 2 or 3. Never knew this was based on a real build!
  9. I'd use 'em to set in tail light lenses!
  10. Ha! Yep, that was one of the details that Jairus Watson showed how to correct in the article I mentioned above. Until then, I never knew what that was supposed to be! The deliveries had a sort of false floor so you had a nook for the spare tire.
  11. I'll take your word for it, I just didn't see it on JF's site. The quality/cleanliness of the casting was what gave me doubts. JF's are generally much cleaner around the edges, whereas Ray's stuff invited more participation, let's say, on your part. Also, for some reason, the link you posted opens up this page!
  12. The red is a perfect background to the decal colors. Tasty color scheme, and such a clean build. Another fine example of what a modest kit can become. BTW, Jairus Watson did a fantastic article a few years back showing how to detail one of these, and he really breathed new life into the kit, with simple scratch-building and a keen eye. Worth looking up, it was in Model Cars magazine , of course!
  13. Wonderful color choices all around; it DOES have that "sales brochure" look to it! Hey Round-2, this would be a sweet combo...
  14. Be warned on the AMT snapper, if yours is molded in red, its the fun kind that likes to bleed through primer and paint. A sealer is a must. Some of the Ram kits were molded in black, a little easier to work with.
  15. Thanks for posting those links! Much goodness to absorb.
  16. I think you are exactly right. Lots of room ahead of that rear wheel, and seems to match perfectly the long bed's proportion.
  17. Very nice looking models. I really like these old Chevy body styles. You've made some clean models, and your color choices are superb. I like the golden yellow color very much. Well done.
  18. A real sleeper; workman-like outside, but surprise when you pop the hood! Very nice color choice, but how could you resist 2-toning a '55??
  19. Love that view peeking under the hood. Wicked.
  20. Nice clean builds, and that green scheme is just SHARP! What paints did you use for those colors? Gorgeous!
  21. Beautiful! Nice job all around; clean build, excellent finish, meticulous foil work, perfect colors, great presentation. The color is totally believable as a factory finish. After such attention to detail, please tell me you ground off the bogus "detail" from the passenger side inner fender. I always wondered if maybe they might have planned at some point to mold on heater hoses, and the idea was nixed, but someone didn't get the memo?
  22. I like what you've done with both, but I find the copper color to be absolutely stunning! The more I look, the more I love it. That's a standout paint scheme. Very well done.
  23. Has a real 1970s magazine cover-shot vibe! Could be Hot Rod, Truckin', Rod & Custom, or one of a half dozen others; it fits them all. The cool factor is right off the scale. Nicely done.
