  1. Phil, thanks so much for that reminder and link
  2. Ha! I like 'em, too, but I just don't know enough about them to make any helpful comment. I guess I'll feel my way along when i do build one. I would love to see some more kits from this era in racing.
  3. Nice! Loving your colors and the subtle sleeper approach.
  4. Very well done. You got a realistic appearance, and it's not heavy-handed, as these can tend toward. It deserves a rusty/oily/dusty engine!
  5. Nice one! Thanks for posting this.
  6. Small update: after a simple request process, received email today that Rouind2 is sending me replacement hoods for my defective parts. Thanks Steve and Doug from Round2!
  7. Looking good! Heck, I was digging the black and camo tan look!
  8. That came out very nice; really changes the flavor of the ol' kit!
  9. Had a good experience trading a couple kits with BIGTRUCK. Scored a couple of diecasts to gift a cousin that's getting interested in collecting and remodeling diecast cars. Thanks again, Ken!
  10. Pretty clean Camaro, and looks very nice in that blue.
  11. That's just SHARP!
  12. That is an excellent video for anyone looking to shoot better pics; you''ll learn more in 15 minutes there than in an hour reading about it.
  13. I think these are made by Aoshima. (Nope: Imai!)
  14. Very nice one!

Can't tell it from the pics! I love the CHEVROLET detail across the cap.

Ditto! Where did you get the wheels?
  17. I hate seeing the stuff overused, but this might be a cool place to use some carbon fiber decal. Just a thought...
  18. Very clean Camaro!
  19. Looks nice! Love the model, really like the real cars, but I hate the bumper guards on these! Why did they do that?!
  20. If you're shooting for a true-to-stock finish, basic undercoating was then applied to all chassis pans in the following areas: one or two passes up the length of the trans/driveshaft tunnel, crosswise across the high rise of the floor in front of the fuel tank (area over the rear axle) from wheel opening to wheel opening, and finally in all 4 wheel openings. This was the bare minimum, from the factory. If a dealer could up-sell it, the entire floor pan could have been undercoated; not uncommon in northern climates where salted roads could wreak havoc on chassis.
  21. Welcome to the forum!
  22. A very nice take on an old kit. Your build completely changes the flavor of the original, and it does so in a very good way. This stands on its own as a unique custom!
