  1. Yes! Not perfect, but a vast improvement. I can work with these.
  2. ...and today I received my 2 replacement hoods. THAT is customer service! Now to finish my build...
  3. Nice work! This should turn out very well.
  4. Like I said, lots of interesting parts, some downright cool, but look at how much better the builds above look without the top! ?
  5. Interesting parts in that kit, though not my favorite over all look. I never liked the top. Worth bringing back for the other pieces, though. Hadn't seen the box art, thanks for posting that!
  6. Nice job! I have a couple of these and the 1/48 DML/Dragon (also later boxed by Revell) release on the "to do" list. Your paint scheme is completely believable.
  7. Love the colors, a sharp little rod that's low key and simple. These kits are fun.
  8. My favorite part is that wicked engine bay!
  9. Most boring to date. Awful nothingness. This model build is way more interesting, intriguing, and purposeful in every way. I care how this one ends!
  10. Looks ready to launch! Very nice build, I really need to pick up one or two of these.
  11. Mission accomplished! That came out pretty impressive for such a time constraint. VERY cool color combo for a Monte.
  12. Sometimes it takes people a while to find a thread, especially this time of year, when everyone's busy outside. I've loved following along, and didn't have anything but encouragement to offer. Your work is excellent! I'll definitely take some ideas from your build if I ever get around to mine. Well done!
  13. The Cadillac engine from the AMT '59 El Camino has a nice set of ribbed valve covers on the chrome sprue with the Cadillac letters in the center. They would POP on your blue engine.
  14. Well done, that's a beauty.
  15. Excellent build, and the green interior is a surprise! Very tasteful combination. We don't see enough of this kit built.
  16. Excellent craftsmanship as always, especially in making the paint look so weathered and worn. The old gal looks war-weary.
  17. It's come a long way!
  18. Looking good. That's one of my favorite golds, nice and bright and truly gold, instead of brownish/greenish/brassy look some golds take on.
  19. Nice!
  20. Very pretty 'vette!
  21. SO clean in style and build! That's a beauty.
  22. The guy that owned my '61 had the 394 out for a rebuild, and the shop folded and his engine just came up missing somehow. All the accessories (breather, pulleys, etc) are still in the trunk. Don't think mine, if I had it, would have liked regular...
  23. Go to your kitchen, get some baking soda, use for carpet texture just like you would embossing powder. Works fine.
