  1. I've been following this thread, and all I can say is it's a bummer this has happened with such nice new kits... Fortunately, I already bought the 29 roadster a while back, and now I'm hoping I'll be able to source at least one 30 coupe, which I like even better... Would be a shame if these were discontinued just like that, after such a short time on the shelves :/
  2. Revell Germany do not send replacement parts outside Europe, just like Revell USA don't send parts outside North America... Just sayin'
  3. I just finished watching the first episode, and it was great to see Clarkson, Hammond and May back together doing their thing... In terms of production value and content, the show is, obviously, very similar to Top Gear, but it is also clear that they are still figuring things out and definitely trying to push the envelope a bit with the whole "global tour" concept... There is no "designated racing driver" like the Stig, at least not yet (the two test drivers in this episode are Mike Skinner and Jerome d'Ambrosio), while the "Star in a reasonably priced car" segment was omitted from the first episode for some reason, but three apparent future guests are introduced in a rather interesting manner There was no "challenge" of any sort in this episode either, but a sneak preview at the beginning indicated there certainly will be in the episodes to come... The cars tested were the Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and LaFerrari, as well as the BMW M2. All in all, this looks like it will provide adequate TV entertainment for the winter, and I'd say BBC have definitely shot themselves in the foot by letting the above mentioned three hosts go (despite the circumstances), and that Top Gear as such will soon become a second tier show. Any thoughts, opinions?
  4. This is possibly the best build of this kit I've seen, even if I would have preferred it in red Also one of the best looking Ferraris ever! Shame Revell had licensing disagreements with Ferrari over reissuing it last year... I'm still hoping it will eventually happen, but not really holding my breath...

    68 Dart

That is one tasty looking Dart indeed
  6. Nice Caddy! I'm not strictly a fan of the wheels, but the newspaper headline is hilarious
  7. Sweet color... I have something similar in mind for mine As for the wheels... Indeed, the "custom" option on this kit is quite unappealing as far as I'm concerned. The stock wheels suit the car much better, and yours look great. Have you tried using Alclad "klear kote"? Not foolproof, but it helps a bit with handling Also, I am curious, which ride height did you opt for, stock or custom?
  8. That suburban is such an unusual subject... But certainly a breath of fresh air What I am most curious about, however, are the wheels on that Ford pickup... The 1:1 are Foose Design Nitrous, if I remember correctly, and I would not mind having a nice set of these!
  9. It looks great to my eye! Nice idea to make grooves for the wire.
  10. I used a scrap piece of red sprue, heated over a candle and then stretched out to a required thickness.

  12. Nice work... Inspires me to continue my project
  13. Thanks for all the replies! Upon further research, I discovered this is in fact the Entex Big Bike series Harley, but I could not find much about it online, except some blurry photos of a builtup... After comparing the pieces and photos, I came to a conclusion the wheels are way too small, and the headlight too large, so this kit will need some fixing to make it look decent, especially because it is quite simplified... I'm just glad I finally have a frame and V-twin in 1/24 scale to work around
  14. I just purchased one of these... The box says the kit is manufactured by "JNT Model Products LTD" of Japan... Has anyone ever heard of this company? I was Googling for others, but this is their only kit I can find, and sources say it's by a company named Sunny... I cannot find much about that either, so now I am really confused about what I have Is it something really obscure? And "Harley SXE"??? As far as I am aware there is no such thing, and this is an FXE... Or? Also, I was wondering, are there any other 1/24 and 1/25 scale Harley Davidson kits out there, apart from the Maisto die-casts? Thanks
  15. I like the car, and it definitely looks like a nice enough kit... From this angle it looks like they might have fixed the wheels too. I'll definitely get one to go with the SLS
  16. Beautiful! Is the Replicas and Miniatures interior kit still available?
  17. Same goes for you JC... Would trade with you anytime without a second thought
  18. A great band indeed, but last time I checked Metallica was from California, not Britain
  19. Some legendary bands mentioned here, and I've been fortunate enough to see many of them perform live - the Stones back in 98 during their Bridges to Babylon tour, Page and Plant (Led Zep) in 99, and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd on two occasions, during his Dark Side of the Moon tour in 2008, I believe it was, and the Wall a few years back... BUT, you guys do realize UK music post 1980 also exists, right? For example, my girlfriend's favorite two bands are Oasis and Coldplay - probably the most popular bands of what is known as "Brit Pop", while I myself prefer electronic and trip-hop sound from the UK, including bands such as Faithless, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Asian Dub Foundation, Depeche Mode, Radiohead and the likes... I also like some of the 80's and new wave music from the UK, including The Cure, Stone Roses, Joy Division, New Order and such... Then there is Iron Maiden, The Clash, Muse, Bush... Well, I could go on...
  20. Anyone interested in some obscure stuff? Okay then, how about some bands from the countries of former Yugoslavia? To begin with, one of the most interesting currently active bands in this part of the world has to be Laibach. They are a Slovenian avant-garde, industrial, neo classical dark wave band who perform in the Slavic languages of former Yugoslavia, English and German (their name is the German name of Slovenian capital Ljubljana, which was official during the Nazi occupation of Yugoslavia)... They have been around since 1980 and have toyed with contoversial topics/themes through new/diverse music styles ever since... They are often credited as a major source of inspiration for Rammstein among others, and are in-fact referred to as "Rammstein for adults", but have remained on the verge of worldwide commercial success due to their often shocking fascist-not-to-say-nazilike getup (yes, even more so than Rammstein), and your first impression may be that they support the worst sort of dictatorial/totalitarian regimes, but please rest assured it is all meant to be ironic and the more you get into the band's work the clearer it becomes (interesting trivia, however, is that they recently actually performed in North Korea as the first western band ever to do so!)... Without further ado, here are a few examples of what they do (the first few are from their most recent album Spectre), but check out more for yourselves... It's certainly an experience!
  21. Providing you like a heavier, more modern rock sound, another great German band that performs in the English language are The Guano Apes... I also like the punk-rock band Die Toten Hosen, but their songs are in German. There is also Alphaville, with their huge hit Forever Young.
  22. There are so many great European music groups, but to stick to the ones that perform in the English language, I'd have to mention Within Temptation - a Dutch symphonic metal band with amazing female vocalist Sharon den Adel, and Swedish punk-rock band Millencolin... Of course, I also always keep mentioning the Croatian surf-rock band The Bambi Molesters on this forum, but it's because they really are a fantastic band
  23. Huge respect to everyone involved in making this concert a reality... I saw the Stones once as a 13 year old kid during their 1998 Bridges to Babylon tour, and to this day it has remained one of my favorite concert-going experiences
  24. Great trade with Tommy aka om617... Would trade again any time
  25. They did occasionally refer to him as the "fifth Beatle" in the media back in the day...
