Anyone ever heard of ESCI models?
PowerPlant replied to buxxx69's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have the SWB also, it's one of my favorite Ferraris, but this kit is easily one of the worst/incorrect models I've ever seen... I really wish Revell would finally release the old Italeri kit like they announced they would a couple years back. -
What kind of music.....
PowerPlant replied to Hot_Rod_Bob's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Always, and all sort of music, too... For me it's the best way to go through a new album, for example I cannot, however, listen to or watch football games whilst I work on a model, because I get way too excited and distracted LoL -

Thanks for all the answers... Things make much more sense now -
Revell/Monogram 36 Ford engine question
PowerPlant replied to PowerPlant's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for pointing that out, I totally missed it, but upon closer inspection I now notice this... They are molded onto the block, but they connect underneath the oil pan? How does that make sense? Is it just me, then, or is this engine quite crappy? -
Don't know about others, but all I see is an upside-down pic of the box, underneath an "attached thumbnails" caption... Are there meant to be any progress pics?

That color is tasty!

Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album
PowerPlant replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
How about a link to the entire album? The Bambi Molesters - Sonic Bullets (13 From the Hip) It's not as obscure here, but for you guys it probably is... Yes, it's Croatian, it is surf-rock with a modern take, and what is even more bizarre, the band is from a dreary industrial town which is nowhere near the coast -
Definitely an interesting kit... The flipnose hood looks fun, and I like the fact the doors open. Looking forward to more of this!

Great work so far! Which PE set are you getting for it? I ask because I like how you've opened the grille, but the only PE set for this kit that I am aware of is the one from Reji, which includes a couple of grilles, so all of that meticulous labor you've put into it might have been redundant, no? -
This occurred a few days ago in a small town on the Croatian coast... The 58-year old female driver claims to have been blinded by the glaring sun and did not realize the draw bridge was being raised What's fascinating, even though it must have been quite a shunt because all of her airbags deployed as a result, is that she continued on her way as if nothing had happened, and was found by the police 15 minutes later casually sipping coffee on a terrace of a cafe-bar!

"Wow, that was really exciting! I bet you are a big Lee Marvin fan, aren't you? Me too, I love that guy!"

Al Pacino playing Benjamin "Lefty" Ruggiero in Donnie Brasco... Great movie

There are these two... Pretty much the same kit, I believe Unfortunately, no older Volvo car kits have ever been done in plastic... I wish someone would do an Amazon or P1800

From what I can see online, the seats and center console on the Hasegawa kit aren't much better than Revell... What I do prefer on Hasegawa's kit, however, is that it includes a removable targa top for the ts version. I think I'll just stick with the Revell kit I have and try make the best of it
-
Thanks for the replies, guys... I sure will look into the Hasegawa kit
-
I realize there are plenty to choose from out there... Made by Revell, Italeri, Hasegawa and Fujimi, in various versions as far as I know. However I recently purchased Revell's ts (targa) version, and immediately noticed inaccuracies in the interior, specifically the seats and center console. I do know Italeri's kit is pretty much the same, but I was wondering how the Japanese kits compare in terms of interior detail? Thanks in advance MATIJA

Mel Gibson died in vain, it would seem On a more serious note, I don't think a different result would have caused serious unrest as some posts above insinuate, but it certainly would have shaken things up in terms of other separatist tendencies across Europe, most prominently on the Iberian peninsula, where Basque Country and Catalonia have firm foundations for claims to independence from Spain, not to mention the volatile situation in Russia and the Ukraine... However, to get an idea just to what extent this goes, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_separatist_movements_in_Europe

Works for me 100%! I have something similar in mind for my 66 coupe

The feeling is mutual, JC Great trade, I would gladly repeat it anytime... Also, I recently completed my second trade with Daddyfink (Jesse Chavez), whose package from California reached me in mere 5 (FIVE!) days... Someone call Guinness, because that has got to be some kind of record

The feeling is mutual... John Morrison is a very trustworthy and dependable trader, but also an extremely patient one, who waited almost a month before I could finalize my end of the trade we agreed on. Thanks so much!
