  1. Strangely enough, there are no hobby shops to write home about in Amsterdam... Some of my favorite stores in the Netherlands, however, with a decent selection of model cars, are located in Den Haag (De Houtloods), Rijswijk (Wapstad) and Rotterdam (Meijer&Blessing)...
  2. Please accept my sincere condolences, Kerry... I lost my dad when I was a young boy so, unfortunately, I do know how you feel... Hang in there!
  3. I love a good restoration project, and yours is by far among the best I've seen...
  4. Love the movies, great replica! Can it also be easily built without the front fascia it looses during the chase at the very beginning of the Road Warrior, or would that require cutting and scratchbuilding?
  5. I think the V-12 Allison engine would be as snug as a bug in there
  6. I can highly recommend trading with Paul (mr68gts)... Thanks!
  7. Whoa, I didn't even realize this one was out yet! Anyhow... It's a fantastic looking weekend build
  8. These Revell Corrados are worth pure gold nowadays... I've seen them offered on some EU sites at prices north of 100 Euros... The yellow is an unusual color for these cars here in continental Europe (they are mostly darker colored or red), but it sure looks great!
  9. Well, despite a minimal loss to Germany, and with only 4 points of possible 9 gained, USA is through to the round of 16, whilst the current world champs Spain, as well as previous cup winners England and Italy, are not... Deservedly so, I might add! Belgium might be a tough nut to crack in that match, but from what they've shown thus far, I believe USA can win... The problem, however, is the most likely opponent in the quarter final... Lionel Messi
  10. That's a funny story, Tom, but it seems things have changed since It was a great game yesterday, and for once USA isn't a team everyone wants to play against, although I suspect having Jurgen Klinsmann as coach might have something to do with it Regardless, it's a shame about that last second equalizer, but they gave Cristiano "best-player-in-the-world" Ronaldo and his "entourage" something to think about... From what they've shown thus far, I'm sure USA will go through to the round of 16, along with Germany, and then it's anyone's tournament
  11. Now that's football, USA... Forget "soccer"!
  12. OK, OK... I meant "soccer" The 20th FIFA World Cup, taking place in Brazil, is kicking off tomorrow... With a Brazil-Croatia match, no less, and I'm as excited as I could be by now! I realize this "strange sport" is not as popular in the USA, but it has been a while since a World Cup took place your side of the pond (USA 94, I believe), so I was just wondering if anyone here shares my enthusiasm?
  13. I am from Europe and have traded here over the last two years, although I find most members are generally reluctant to trade across the pond due to alleged shipping costs... However, I have had kits sent to me from the US for as little as 12 bucks. I traded with a member who checked online for a cost estimate for shipping 2 kits+resin body to me in Croatia, and it was grossly overestimated... Something like 75 bucks... Needless to say, he got discouraged, but still went through the trouble of packing the kits up and taking them to the post office to check... The package ended up costing 25 dollars, something like a third of the online estimate. Still not what you'd call cheap, but much less than what one might expect
  14. Unbelievable model! Awesome doggies, too
  15. I see... Thanks for the explanation
  16. Kerry, I hope you didn't take offense at my joke Your work really is fantastic!
  17. Hey, Dr. Kerry, you might want to change your nick to Patient Kerry ... Because this is insane! No, seriously now... It looks like it's meant to be
  18. That's a great color for this car However, it looks pretty much done... It might be difficult to install the steering wheel at this point, no?
  19. That patina is terrible... In an awesome way, of course
  20. Aren't they the same exact kit, aside from the color of the plastic and decals?
  21. Thanks for the reply, but I would still like to know where exactly the "x-shop", as you call it, and headquarters are located I looked, but I could not find any info online...
  22. Where exactly is this headquarters located, and is it open to general public or only for prearranged group visits?
  23. When Valentino Rossi visited the Isle of Man TT, he wouldn't run it all-out, claiming it was far too dangerous for his liking.
  24. I've been wanting to build this car for a while, and thought of starting with the same kit... Looking forward to your progress
  25. Cool looking car! Nice touch with the working lights... I had never heard of the show before, but looked it up and ended up watching a bunch in a row It's fun
