  1. Certainly not as weird as some of the stuff in this topic, but the "weirdest" kit I do actually have in my stash is this one:
  2. I just started the convertible a few days ago... Looks like a nice, detailed kit with many parts, but lots of flash to sand off of small pieces...
  3. Nice color... Flames suit it well
  4. Cool looking model, but it could use some chrome trim
  5. I guess I better get rid of my crappy Revell kit while I still have a chance But, seriously, has an actual release date been announced yet? Apologies if I missed it somewhere in the previous discussion...
  6. Looks great so far! Does this kit feature a removable top/roof?
  7. I have used actual self-adhesive automotive tinting foil before... Worked like a charm Like Bill, a.k.a Ace-Garageguy, I got pretty much a lifetime worth of scraps from a local tinting shop - too small for them to use, but perfect for cars in our scale
  8. The earlier kits you are mentioning are the gen. 2 Golf, this one is a new tool of a gen. 1
  9. Thanks for the info and suggestion... I never thought of looking him up on Facebook
  10. Sad news, indeed... RIP mr. Cocker
  11. Does anyone know what's up with Jim McCall, a.k.a. IMSANUT? He was interested in one of my trade items more than a month ago. He gave me an email address to contact him at, which I did, but I have not heard from him, and I see he has not logged on here, nor read my PM's since Nov 11th... I've also had some other interest for the item in question, but he had first dibs on it, so I'd like to resolve that situation before proceeding with other potential deals No one owes anyone anything, as we never actually finalized a deal, I'm just wondering if he's OK. Thanks, MATIJA
  12. Those are two very unique and cool kustomz
  13. I have the SWB also, it's one of my favorite Ferraris, but this kit is easily one of the worst/incorrect models I've ever seen... I really wish Revell would finally release the old Italeri kit like they announced they would a couple years back.
  14. Always, and all sort of music, too... For me it's the best way to go through a new album, for example I cannot, however, listen to or watch football games whilst I work on a model, because I get way too excited and distracted LoL
  15. Thanks for all the answers... Things make much more sense now
  16. Thanks for pointing that out, I totally missed it, but upon closer inspection I now notice this... They are molded onto the block, but they connect underneath the oil pan? How does that make sense? Is it just me, then, or is this engine quite crappy?
  17. I have a mostly complete Monogram 36 Ford kit, and I thought I was missing headers for it... But, upon inspecting the instructions, I found nothing that resembles exhaust headers is included in this kit. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance
  18. Don't know about others, but all I see is an upside-down pic of the box, underneath an "attached thumbnails" caption... Are there meant to be any progress pics?
  19. That color is tasty!
  20. How about a link to the entire album? The Bambi Molesters - Sonic Bullets (13 From the Hip) It's not as obscure here, but for you guys it probably is... Yes, it's Croatian, it is surf-rock with a modern take, and what is even more bizarre, the band is from a dreary industrial town which is nowhere near the coast
  21. Definitely an interesting kit... The flipnose hood looks fun, and I like the fact the doors open. Looking forward to more of this!
  22. Cool! Looking forward to the progress on it
  23. Great work so far! Which PE set are you getting for it? I ask because I like how you've opened the grille, but the only PE set for this kit that I am aware of is the one from Reji, which includes a couple of grilles, so all of that meticulous labor you've put into it might have been redundant, no?
  24. Indeed, the MK1 Escort, BMW 2002 and some of the Volvos seem like no-brainers, however, I don't know what you consider "funky", but I think this one also fits into that category rather well:
