Model Master Citrus Yellow Metallic
Deathgoblin replied to om617's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Speaking of 70's MOPARs, this is one I built of my brother's '71 Charger. I rebuilt the dash into the Rallye style and gave it the flat hood. It's a little dusty now. -

I wish I had several of the cars my family used to own: 1967 Pontiac Tempest (Dad) 1973 Charger (Dad) 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo (Dad) 1971 Charger (my brother's) 1981 Firebird (also my brother's) 1974 Plymouth Satellite, 1970 Plymouth Superbird, 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, 1970 Chrysler 300, 1976 Buick Riviera, 1973 Cadillac Hearse (Uncle Bobby) And then my own: 1972 Buick Skylark Custom, 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo, 1969 Dodge A100 Van, 1998 Cadillac DeVille Concours. I will own another awesome car. -

Nice! Do Want! -
Stunning!! I loved the 300's like that one.

Will do! I think some of the smaller chrome pieces are missing, like headlights/tailights/turn signals and one of the clear parts. Let me know if you need anything for the parts. Thanks a lot! Going back to work tomorrow!! YAY!!

That's gorgeous!! My dad had a black one he bought new in '73 in Arkansas. It got rear-ended on New Year's Eve 1980, and it went downhill from there. We ended up selling the car for junk. Would love to have another one.

Correcting molded in / chrome headlights
Deathgoblin replied to gtx6970's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Drilled mine out, used those googly eyes for dolls that you can get at Hobby Lobby as the backing reflectors and glued them into the holes. Used foil to make them reflective, and then glued clear lenses over them. -
Man, except for the front fascia being a little different, it looks just exactly like the one I used to drive. Right down to the color and rust. Good job!!

Photoetch wire wheels
Deathgoblin replied to imatt88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's also 3D printed wire wheels. Check these out. I picked up a set and they're nice: http://www.3dmodelparts.com/1-24-1-25-wire-wheels-15-inch-60-spoke/ -
I like the look of this one. Good work!!

Looks awesome

Got in an AMT 1970 Impala from eBay. It's a parts kit, missing the engine and wheels, but that's not a big deal. The interior, chassis and body are complete.

Mass quanties of Sandpaper needed ...
Deathgoblin replied to Foxer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Would never ever want to wreck that thing. I'm sure it's not very structurally sound. -
Just an idea for reissues
Deathgoblin replied to GaryR's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't mind a lot of the reissues. I missed a lot of them when they've been issued before, so it's nice to have a chance at them again.
