    The Revell 300SL-24 has a nice engine. You might look into one of those.

    How do you glue/paint the tape? Most plumbing tape is Teflon, and not many things stick to Teflon. True!! I guess that wasn't a good idea. Sorry.

    I have heard of using the thin tape used for wrapping plumbing threads for ducts. Same process of wrapping wire around a bolt/screw, then wrapping the tape around that.

    Got a Jo-Han promo 1958 Desoto FireFlite 4-door for $15 on Ebay. She's a little warped, but not bad, I'm gonna clean it up and try to straighten it a little and just display it as is.

    Got one of the Revell Cadillac STS-V kits. It's in decent shape, but now I have to find/make headlights and tail lights.

    I've got one of the AE86 kits in my stash and have been through it. It looks like it's going to be a very nice kit.

    I've gotten a fantastic chrome finish with one coat. Make sure your surface is reasonably smooth and give it one good coat. And for the love of all that's holy, let it dry for several days before you even think of touching it. I've got a couple of test parts that are beautifully chrome.

    Went to Ollie's today and picked up the Revell VW Rabbit and the Dan Fink Speedwagon for 7.99 each.

    When I picked up my chrome pen, the guy at the hobby shop also mentioned that Molotow makes a masking pen. Marker/pen filled with liquid masking agent. That's my next purchase.
