  1. It looks like you're doing a great job on this one.
  2. Looks like a really good kit.
  3. That's pretty sharp. How much does the whole thing cost? I'd love to have one of the AM's, but not at the built price I've seen on eBay.
  4. Looking great so far! Keep it up!
  5. I build all year round. I live in an apartment, so I don't have a yard to take care of. I also don't own an old car (WISH I DID!) to maintain before the summer. I miss my old cars.
  6. I use probably about 75%. I do end up throwing a bit away from where I've trimmed pieces off, but I try to reuse the smaller pieces.
  7. Interested, I'd love to know the pricing on one of these.
  8. I hope these are all getting restored. It looks like the "Door Stop" and "Hang On Sloopy" have some pretty melty wheels.
  9. That's odd. I've got the more recent reissue of the 1958 T-bird 2-in-1 (the purple one with the bubble top and the scallops) and it had the stock top in it. I built it with the stock top.
  10. 1 at a time. Any more and I start screwing things up. I do that enough anyway.
  11. I wondered about those when I was a kid. Now I'm glad I never got one. What about using a rheostat to turn down the heat?
  12. It's not what you chant when you're trying not to scream when the carpet monster claims another part? "OEMMMMMMM"
  13. Any that he's standing on are crushed... I hope he's on a platform of some kind up there. I keep thinking of the scene from "The Dark Knight" with the money pile.
  14. I've never bought any chromed buckets for the lenses. I've used those googly doll eyes, since they come in multiple sizes. Just trim the back part off and lose the "pupil", glue in the rounded part and foil/chrome. Spare lenses from other kits or model railroads are available, or they're not really hard to cast in clear acrylic/epoxy resin.
  15. Gorgeous!! Outstanding job!
  16. Very nice looking cruisers!
  17. Got a Revellogram 1970 Chevelle SS 454. It's a little gluebombed, but not terrible. The body and interior are in good shape. The chrome is a little rough, but now I know how to fix that. I love Allclad.
  18. I've got one of the green ones. Actually a pretty color. Might build it like that.
  19. I thought it was these guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGe8qID9gSs
  20. The Avro Arrow looks really nice. Shame that project was cancelled. I always did like that design better than the F-102 and F-106.
  21. How about straight 90% alcohol? It's cheap and it'll dissolve just about any paint. I've even stripped bodies with it.
  22. That color is gorgeous!
  23. The transkit looks amazing. Did you have to do any carving on the chassis plate in order to install the engine?
  24. Man, the engine and transmission look realistic! Outstanding work!
  25. Me either. This is my second job change in a year. Lost my job of 14 years last May due to sleep issues. They treated it like a discipline problem, and just as I got medication to help with it they terminated me. At least they were nice enough to give me a good severance.
