  1. Wow! Okay, yeah, that makes more sense. It looks more like a jet engine than the Chrysler version did. Neat!
  2. If I may make a suggestion, the works look more like a rotary engine than a turbine. Isn't that a crankshaft with the triangular rotors in the bottom left corner?
  3. Has anyone noticed on the ROG site, they're showing a 1/16 Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental? Any information on this kit? It looks nice: http://www.revell.de/en/products/model-building/cars/young-oldtimer/id/07459.html
  4. I see what you mean. Just under the quarter window is a piece of molding that isn't on the real car.
  5. Actually, I messaged my brother yesterday to see if he could send me pics of it. As soon as I get them, I'll post.
  6. I'm downgrading my '68 Road Runner to a 383.
  7. Growing up, we had a bit of everything. My parents were both driving GM's when I was born, but the earliest cars I remember were a Volkswagen Bus and our 1973 Dodge Charger. Later on, we had other cars: 1978 Ford LTD Wagon, 1981 Plymouth Horizon, 1985 Chevy Nova and Monte Carlo, etc. My brother's first two cars were Chargers, the old family '73 and he later bought a '71, and he drove Pontiacs, had a Mercury Cougar among others. Even my own car collection has been all over the place. I don't really have a specific brand I prefer. Just anything with four wheels that goes.
  8. Did a conversion of the '71 R/T to a base model for my brother. It came out really nice. The worst part was the hood. I carved out the big hood scoop area and made it flat with the peak down the center. The dash was a fun conversion with the linear speedo and gauges. Need to find pictures....
  9. Very Nice!! I really wish they would re-pop the Jo-Han kits. Yeah, I know, the molds are all gone now...
  10. What about the newer snap together kit? Does it have the 500/Daytona window as well?
  11. Want the Transit!!
  12. I'm interested!
  13. I couldn't imagine them chucking the whole project because of licensing.
  14. Man, if you could get something that shape to fly, imagine the room in that thing. 12 seats across at the widest, with room to spare. Yeah, it'd be a hundred feet tall....
  15. Mine's carpet. So far I've managed to find things I drop. Now if the cutters launch something off into my shelves, that's another matter entirely.
  16. I've got a 1928 Lincoln. Yeah, they're rare anymore.
  17. That looks awesome!
  18. Got in a lot from Ebay with a Revell Ferrari Enzo, Revell 58 T-Bird, and an AMT NASCAR Pontiac Grand Prix all 3 complete. Waiting on a lot to come in with a bunch of BMW stuff. That's the one I'm excited about. Got a Revell BMW 635CSi, Heller BMW 328, Revell Z1 and ROG BMW 507. Needed the 635 parts to complete the one I've got. The others are just gravy.
  19. Good point! I'd be curious to see what he says. It's probably harder than I intended to make it out, but much less difficult than making one from scratch.
  20. Excellent! Looks great.
  21. It probably depends on the scanner in question and the software. I know that Jay Leno has used 3D scanning for parts on his 1:1 cars. He had to replace a door handle on a Duesenberg, and because it was ornate and rare there were no spare parts available. They scanned the one for the opposite side, mirrored it and printed/machined a replacement. I've done some 3D stuff with 3D Studio, but not working with scan data.
