Since someone asked for a Rover P6, how about a Triumph Stag? I know the engines were a problem, but they were pretty.

I've got one of these in my stash. I'm pulling in a 440 for it, though. Curious to see how your builds up.

Let's see... Cheetah 1970 Chrysler 300 (my uncle had one, would like to build it) 1951 Studebaker Commander (gotta love the old "Bullet Nose") How about a 1971-74 Charger kit, with the extra parts to build whichever model? Or go the Mobius route and just release other kits by just tweaking the molds?

What about remaking the clear parts on the plane like the gun windows with acetate so you can see through them? Would that be too ridiculous?

Gorgeous work! You're totally right, the inserts just seem to make the wheels on that one.

I think I'd go the route of buying or heavily investing in Hobbico/Mobius/Round 2. Get some new stuff funded, maybe R&D or reverse engineer some old kits. I wonder why none of these companies have tried 3D scanning some of the old kits from lost molds to re-create them? They could literally just put the whole sprue into the scanner and they'd not only have the parts, but the channels as well. A little CAD/CAM and they're done.

Both the board and the magazine have greatly improved my build quality. Now, is there a cure for having hammer hands?

Yeah, definitely no paints in cold storage. My whole drawer full of acrylics got put into the storage when we moved to our current place right before winter hit. I ended up having to replace almost all of it. Fortunately the enamels were in a smaller container and came into the apartment, or those would have been ruined too.

I wouldn't necessarily go so far as to avoid Revell. That kit is a re-release of an older tooling. I've got the stock version, and ran into the same issues. Most of their recent kits are lovely and go together very well.

Made some holding sticks using alligator clips and thin bamboo skewers. Just clamp the clips onto the skewers and done. And the pointy ends work really well to poke into one of those plant sculpting blocks you can buy at Michael's/Hobby Lobby. Need to get some more skewers.

I did have a huge amount of boxes like some of the ones shown. Unfortunately the place I moved out of had roaches really bad, and in order to make sure we left them behind, all of those boxed kits got transferred to large freezer bags and the boxes were trashed. I've gotten a few more boxed ones since we moved, but most of my kits are in bags and stored in plastic bins.

I have terrible luck finding MCM in the Barnes & Nobles around here. So far Polaris and Sawmill are the only stores I can consistently find them. Nothing at Easton and Lennox. I need to check Upper Arlington and Pickerington, but they're a little out of the way for me.

I agree with GTJUNIOR. Wait for it to cure and then polish it out. Try using Novus on a Q-Tip and just buff it out.

Just remembered... "Modern Family" with Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett as the grandfather figure is a model builder on the show. They got into his "forbidden room", and there were model airplanes and RC aircraft, and even model space stuff (which ends up being the focus of the episode).

Had several of the 1/8 ones that were very nice, would love to have them back, but finding a place to put them: 1985 Corvette 1/8 scale IROC Camaro 1/8 scale Golden T Street Rod 1/8 Also had some others that were pretty nice. Most of my older kits weren't that rare: Jo-Han 1964 Cadillac Aurora/Revellogram Aston-Marton DB4 Pretty much most of the ones I used to have are still relatively easily available.
