  1. I've done clear red/amber over silver backing and BMF backing on pieces using sharpies. Both methods work really well.
  2. I kept picturing him putting fuel and spark on it and WOOF!!
  3. I've dropped pieces in the bathroom before. Got excited when a kit came in and had to hit the restroom first thing when I got home.
  4. The one my family had looked almost exactly like this one:
  5. Got in a set of 3D printed wire wheels for my Jaguar E-Type. They were worth every cent, they're much better looking than the little wire shaped hubcaps that came with it. Check them out! http://www.3dmodelparts.com/1-24-1-25-wire-wheels-15-inch-60-spoke/
  6. Looks great! Need to have Indy hanging off the front.
  7. I love the "TILT" bit. That one took me a minute. It does look like it says either TILT or ZILT.
  8. Excellent! Looks fantastic.
  9. I do too! Just found out that there's one not far at all from my apartment. Might have to hit there soon.
  10. I'm gonna have to hit DDM. There's at least one around here.
  11. Their website is down. That's a shame, their kits looked awesome. I hope Heller or someone purchases the molds.
  12. Beautiful work so far!
  13. The spikes on the lugs on semis scare me to death. As bad as most of them drive anyway, I'm afraid that I'll be passing one and he'll get a little out of lane and chew the side of my car off.

    Citation

Looks great! I always liked the look of a Citation. Too bad they were pretty awful cars.
  15. I did a conversion from the '71 RT to a base model for my brother. I filled in the side vents, cut the bulge out of the hood and filled it with plastic and made the center peak out of green stuff. The REALLY hard part of the conversion was the dash. It got a set of 60's on the back and a full set of Cragar SS wheels. He was ecstatic over the model when I gave it to him and it sits in a place of honor on his shelf.
  16. Looks really good! The multi-piece body on a modern car is odd, but it looks like it's going together well.
  17. What about getting one of the 71's and converting it? Modelhaus carries the bumpers to change it over. Worst part might be changing the rear quarter windows. I'm tempted to do the same thing to make a '73. We had one in the family we bought new and had it for years until it got hit.
  18. My parents had a 66 Olds F-85.
  19. the 1/20 scale AMX from AMT is actually really nice. It builds up well and is very detailed.
  20. Colored Sharpie markers also work really well on tail lights and marker lights.
  21. My favorite thing to do with the plates now is apply them as decals to a couple of pieces of scrap sheet plastic, then give them a good coat of clear and trim them out. They withstand bumps a bit better than the paper does.
