I've got one of these, and it's pretty handy. It's got enough torque to grind well, and it's slow enough that you wont melt plastic.: http://www.e2046.com/product/Micro-Auto+Grinder+Set/14688/
Got in an AMT Eckler Corvette. Nice kit. Got it for less than $10 on Ebay. It's pretty complete, but I'll have to pull the engine and interior apart. No big deal.
There weren't any decals in mine. I foiled the letters before primer and paint and made sure it was smooth, then as I did each layer I used an eraser to rub the paint off the layers. Worked like a charm.
I use either or both, depending on the application. I'm working on the 1/20 AMX kit right now so I did mostly semigloss black, with a wash over the chrome bars and the letters.
No idea. When we moved, I had to remove them all from boxes and put them into plastic bags because we didn't want the bugs following us. Each kit takes up one freezer bag, and I have 4 large tubs full, plus the top of the shelf in the closet and some I've bought since we moved in boxes (probably about 20 more). And I keep buying.
I've got the 1/20th Dodge Stealth, the 1953 Ford and 1966 Chevelle. All three are really nice kits. The detail's a little light on the Dodge, but it builds up pretty well. The Ford and Chevelle are as detailed as anything I've ever built. Some of the Lindberg kits are old Pyro, Palmer or IMC kits, and they can be a little weird depending on the kit.
Got in an AMT 1995 Mustang GT from Ebay. Less than $10 including shipping. Body is shot, but it's complete otherwise. I can put the body back together, but I'll just keep it as a spare. Body was too far gone. I took the other Mustang kit that I had and made one whole one. Still works out.
That would be neat, and I'd probably get one, I'd rather see a stock Henry J than the Manhattan. Overall, I'm hoping for 50's Mopar, Buick, Olds, Pontiac or Mercury. Maybe even some 50's Lincolns.
