  1. I'm really amazed at the detail on this kit. It's definitely worth the money.
  2. Can we stuff the drivetrain from that into a Plymouth Prowler?
  3. Looking at the instructions, it looks like a pretty decent kit. I'm gonna have to get me one of these.
  4. Drop dead gorgeous!
  5. Very nice!!
  6. I tend to use Duplicolor or Tamiya primer anymore. Duplicolor is cheaper for the amount you get. It's lacquer primer, so it should be good for just about anything. I generally prime on the sprue for the smaller parts. I tend to be a little hammer handed, so little parts evade me if I try to primer them loose.
  7. So far, the only one I didn't clearcoat has been my Ferrarri 612. I wasn't very pleased with the way the paint handled afterwards, so I'll clear the rest from now on.
  8. Got my Revell Trabant 601 Universal today. Nice looking kit!
  9. Sadly' even though I'm not really into NASCAR, there's some of the kits I'd be tempted to build. Like the Uno Buick Regal, Piedmont Monte Carlo, Miller Buick Regal. Just cause I like the styling of them.
  10. Mine should be in today. I can't wait to get home and get the mail.
  11. I have very few boxes at all right now. We just moved, and because of bugs I moved all of my kits to gallon sized freezer bags. I carefully put the instructions facing the outside so I could tell what was what. Then all of my kits were packed into plastic bins. The boxes got trashed. I've bought a few kits since, but the boxes will also probably end up in the trash when they're done.
  12. I've got a CADD degree, but I've never run into this software. I'm grabbing the free version.
  13. Got in an AMT 1981 1/2 Datsun 280ZX Turbo. Other than the shrink wrap being off, it's brand new.
  14. Got a $40 gift certificate to Hurricane Hobbies for Christmas. I picked up the Tamiya Savanna RX-7 with a full engine and an AMT 1958 Plymouth Fury "Christine" kit. Also got in some correct tires for my Corvette Grand Sport. The ones in the kit were mismolded, so I ordered a set of tires for a slot car. They're perfect.
  15. I've got one of the Harbor Freight ones. It's got multiple chucks, so it'll handle any sized tool. I just need to pick up a speed controller for it so I can pull the speed down below "melting plastic"
  16. Excellent scratchbuilding. I love watching to see what you come up with.
  17. Went to the LHS on my lunch break and picked up the 1/20 AMX. Looks like a nice kit.
  18. 1972 Buick Skylark (owned one) 1971-74 Dodge Charger (family owned two) 1968 Plymouth Road Runner 1969 Chrysler 300 1970 Plymouth Superbird
  19. Got a Smokey & The Bandit Trans-Am kit, and a Maisto 2014 Corvette convertible metal model. The Corvette was stupid simple, but came out kinda nice. I got enough Christmas money to pick up the ones I didn't get on my list.
  20. Glad to see you're coming back up. By the way, was that Alternators Hound I saw on the edge of one of your shelves?
  21. I've only had one success out of the black foil, using it for the side window frames on a Monogram Lamborghini Countach. It's too thick and the black coating comes off too easy. The gold works really well, though.
  22. Nice! Especially like the last 3, Dr. Krook's Medicine Show, Meter Cheater and T-Bone Stake. It took me a while to find a salvageable kit of Dr. Krook's. They're pretty rare.
  23. I've got one of these. Looks like a pretty nifty kit. It'll give me a lot of spare parts to restore my "Dr. Krooks" kit. Some of the engine components are missing.
  24. Excellent!
