Sometimes, a glue bomb is the only way to get an out of print kit cheaply. I've picked up and few and once you get into them, the bug really gets you.

Really, the only kit I've been disappointed in was the Munster's Coach/Dragula combo. They're stupidly simple kits, details are almost non-existant. Fortunately if you get the one in the tin, it comes with a book showing a lot of details. I'll be doing a lot of scratchbuilding on them.

I had a 78 Volare that hated me. I was the second owner, the original had been an old lady that had been put into a nursing home. From the moment I bought the thing it started coming apart. My family and I went out to dinner one night a few weeks later and while I was in the restaurant the exhaust system snapped just in front of the catalytic converter. No way to repair it without replacing the whole converter. The car wasn't worth it, so we ended up running a straight pipe. Later on the whole exhaust fell off in the middle of the freeway. Someone bought the car off my parents and had it running again in about 5 minutes. I think it's still out there waiting on me.

I generally build year round, but I have to wait until I get my new room up. Once I get to start building again, I'm torn between the AMT 1/12 1937 Cord and some of my other projects. The Cord's gonna take a lot of work. It had been someone's shelf piece and looks like it took a dive. I'll have to remake some of the suspension bits.

All of mine are unwrapped. We just had to move out of necessity due to bug infestation (thanks to some bad neighbors), so I had to move all of my kits from the boxes to 1 gallon freezer bags. None are even in boxes now. They do take up a lot less room now.

Paint the body. while waiting on the body to dry, primer everything so I can see any defects. wetsand the body and polish. build the critical subassemblies and paint. I tend to build and paint some things at the same time.

Would definitely get the Charger again anyway. It was an awesome kit. I'd like for it to have options for the other years, though. Also one of the flat hoods would be nice. Would it be too much trouble to ask for the non "Air Grabber" hoods on the Mopars?

That's good. I can come up with headlight buckets, but the lenses would have been difficult. Now I'm really looking forward to this one. Anyone got a full parts breakdown?

So, 1/20 scale, and still molded in headlights? Really? That's gonna be fun to make clear lenses for. Otherwise, I'm excited about this one.

I've pretty much got mine: Jo-Han Chrysler Turbine car (full detail) and Dr. Krook's Medicine Show (Patent Pending). The show rod was a glue bomb, but it wasn't bad to take apart and was complete. All I had to do was glue the windshield frame back together. There are others I would like to have, but aren't as critical, like an Aurora Aston Martin DB-4 and a Chevy Vega (non-drag version).
