  1. I've used the googly eyes for dolls available in craft stores. They go any diameter, and they're the perfect shape.
  2. yes to any and all of the above. Stabbed myself in the thumb earlier with my exacto knife while trying to disassemble a glue bomb.
  3. I used pins and chrome ring-shaped beads for knobs on my 71 charger conversion. They looked great.
  4. I've got a Jo-Han 1970 Olds Cutlass coming in from Quebec. It's a little beat up but complete and salvageable. Not bad for $20
  5. Very nice work! I love the tangerine color on the 32. I used to try and brush paint bodies when I was younger. I can get away with it on the interiors, but would never be brave enough to do the outside anymore. Your work is beautiful.
  6. 1. I'm an Air Force brat. My dad has been out of the service since 1978. 2. I'm named after two book characters - from Trixie Belden.
  7. Nice work. Overall it's interesting to see where this kit was off. It doesn't seem like it's off that far, but once you see where it was off, it's hard not to spot.
  8. Nice work. I did one of these. It's a fun kit.
  9. Amazing work. I love what you're doing with this.
  10. I generally go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels if it's something that I need right now and they normally carry. I've been buying Duplicolor paint and primer from the auto parts store. But we have several hobby shops around Columbus, so I kinda feel lucky if I need BMF or something that no one else carries.
  11. As far as the tools go, I've got mine in a carousel from The Pampered Chef. It's got room for all my tools and its convenient and compact. My paints are in and on a small rolling drawer unit. I do need to find somewhere else to put my spray paints. Right now they're all stacked at the back of my desk.
  12. I do a little of both. It just depends on the subject I'm after, pricing and how lazy I am at that particular time. There's other options even than the ones you listed. Check out jimnohio.com and Tower Hobbies.
  13. My first car was a 72 Skylark. Wasn't a GS, but it looked pretty close to that. I loved that car. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
  14. Got a Hasegawa Ford Focus Rally and Revell PT Cruiser that are repairable and an AMT F&F Supra for parts.
  15. I still use them because I haven't had the chance to get my airbrush fired up yet. I still do a lot of brush painting.
  16. How about the AMT Dodge Stealth? Twin turbo power? Also the Jaguar XJ220 if you want something a little weirder.
  17. 3 sets of light bars for my 2007 Charger police cruiser.

    Avanti

    Nice work! Very cool Avanti.
  19. Looks like a nice kit. I really like the color.
  20. It's amazing how efficient those Northstars are. I had a 98 Deville Concours before the Malibu, and it was really great on gas. Especially considering that 300 HP was way more than enough to move that thing pretty swiftly. Just make sure and keep the cooling system up as best as you can and don't let it overheat.
  21. 3D scanning would solve a lot of issues with "out of proportion" kits. It would be difficult for it to be out of proportion if it's a direct scan of the real car. Personally, I'm kid of excited about the scanning and printing sides of this technology.
  22. Very nice work. Looks like a nice kit.
  23. I gotta say my computer and internet connection. Without them, I'd never have gotten back into model cars.
