  1. BOTH great builds,I already have two of them from the old days,so I wouldn't bother with another one,EXCEPT for those DECALS!!! They're THE MOOK! Just might hafta get one just for THOSE! They weren't the easiest kits to build, but you guys sure did a wizz-bang job on 'em! The box art ALONE should sell a ton of 'em!!!GREAT BUILDS!!!
  2. Bill, VERY,VERY nice build. Back inna day, one of my MUCH older sisters had a boyfriend who had the REAL thing! Same color, interior, wheels! Always liked that car,He did too, caz he had a 66 that was a darker Blue with a black interior before that one!
  3. Guys, after seein Limomans(Rick)lil Pro Stock Mustang, i got to thinkin(OOOO,my head!) if anyone out there has seen a prostock modular engine? You know, like a Mustang GT engine, or a Lincoln Mk8 engine? My wife had a Mk8 for a while, and it really hauled for such a small displacement engine. Has anyone stepped up to the plate with a full race Pro Stock engine? I think one would be cool. Anyone seen one, or you guys think a motor that small couldn't be punched out enough to make building one worth the effort? I'm talkin a full on Pro Stocker,an NOT a turbo'd out one like in the "Fastest Street Car" races. Anyone know of or seen one???
  4. More than welcome Rick! For not havein done a model inna while, your sure doin a GREAT job on this lil rascal! There aren't too many newer Mustang Pro-Stockers(at least I haven't seen many)out there. Yours looks like a 10 second machine easy!!! Don't stop now Daddy-O, she's lookeen goood!
  5. Ditto. I start at the General section and work my way down the list
  6. Looks good so far limo, the first scoop does look better. If it doesn't fit right, MAKE it fit, it's only plastic. looks like you need to adjust the wheelbase a tad too. Oh, an to be honest with you, you ARE supposed to put your REAL name in your sig, unless of course, your parents actually DID name you limoman. It just makes for freindlier communication.
  7. I'm with Bill,Ken! I'm glad ta see one in 25th scale again! I tried to cop one off the bay a WHILE back, an that rascal ended goin for WELL OVER 200.00 bucks!!! I'll DEFINATELY be gettin one of those, caz I just LOVE 68/70 B-bodies!!! Thanks for poppin it!
  8. Dave, one of the guys here gave an addy one time of where to get watch parts. i looked it up an there were little bags FULL of 'em! Springs, gears, winders, the works! Since I don't get quite THAT deep into it,idin't keep it in my favorites file, but they ARE out there! C'mon guys, a brutha needs some help, so let's help him out!!!
  9. Well it's about time Dave! We ALL need a little pat on the back occasionally. That's why I TOO love this hobby of ours! I love Model contests, even if I NEVER enter one, not my taste, but I DO get GREAT enjoyment and pleasure from seeing others hard work come to fruition in a model. Some are just more inclined to go that EXTRA mile to do the best they can. Bud was like that. He'll always be one of my hero's as are you, and a few others here. If we CAN'T enjoy our hobby, then WHY do it? I'm here EVERYDAY, just to see whats up in MY favorite world.I'll never be as good as ALOT of you guys, but that's not what's important to me. I just like to build. I gotta lot of stuff that would make guys drool, but I'll get to them sooner or later. For me painting gets me every time! You can leave a bum in his own clothes,an no one'll see him. BUT you put that same bum in a Armani suit, an he'll sure get noticed! That's how my models are. They'll stay in prime till I get the skill to dress them properly. But it in NO way reduces the pleasure I get from building them. And THAT'S what it's ALL about, really. I don't compete cause I CAN'T, I just don't prefer to. Yet I STILL love contests. I have NOT missed ONE meeting of the DMCC since I joined over a year ago now, I've met some of the BEST modelers in the hobby. Bud was a member, and Steve Perry is also. And BOTH of them have had center spreads in a magazine! For insperation, if ya need it, you COULDN'T beat these 2 guys! I LOVE this hobby, AND this Forum. I've had the pleasure of being in a community of which I feel is the BEST one on the planet! I got to meet The Big Kahuna, and he's a regular guy, like me, with a GREAT job! I got to meet an talk with you,Dave and consider you a good freind. I have MANY freinds here who do OUTSTANDING work, but just don't seem to get noticed, like by buddy Ed, He's just a FANTASTIC Diorama builder, but no one seems to notice. He doesn't care, he builds for himself. I LOVE that kinda attitude. The bickering that's been goin on is silly. Who cares WHAT the guys post, it's to be enjoyed or just ignored, I'm here for the long run, till Gregg or Harry throw me out, or till I go to the GREAT hobby room in the sky. Can't go to the hobby room in the BASEMENT, caz I've been THERE most of my life!!!
  10. Yep,Merk, the gasser is the way ta go. The wheels do look much nicer INSIDE the fenders. If ya gotta rebuild it, that's the way ta go Daddy-O! You could probly build you a nice gasser frame to stick under it. It does kinda look like it could be one of them Fiberglass bodied race cars! It looks like you CAN bring 'er back pretty good!GO FOR IT!!
  11. Bill, izzat the Mustang that was in Hemmings MuscleCar Review that had the IRS in it? I remember reading about it last year,or early this year. It was one of one,and I had NEVER heard about an IRS in a Mustang of those years. Yours looks real nice, and that color IS unique. Don't see too many Mustangs of THAT shade of green! Man is that rascal GREEN!!!
  12. Looks good ta me,Jose! Bet theres more than one of them things runnin round down there in San Anto! I remember seein LOTS of OOOOLLLLDDDD cars down there! My Grandparents(all 4 of them) an Mom and Dad are from there. Gotta lotta pleasant memories from there.
  13. Bill, Roge, Time Machine resins makes an up top for 68/72 G.M. bodies.Pt 0006 for 6.00 bucks. Looks like it'll fit this one too. So, there IS someone out there who's thinkin ahead! God Bless the Resin Casters!
  14. OK,OK, I'm pacified now that I've been able to see it!!! Man those guys are gettin better an better with each new release! I MAY hafta get a few of then so's I can try to make a regular "Formal" roof outta one. Think the 77 Monte Carlo roof'll work? We'll see! So far it looks GREAT!!!
  15. Yep, sounds about right Nigel, with the Ferrari,Cooper an BOTH of Big Daddy's rails,YOU would notice the Mini! Great score Ed, Personally I like both the Ferrari and the Cooper!
  16. OOOO that's lookin GOOD,Juergen! It's gonna be ANOTHER winner off your bench for sure! Like Harry said, you got one of THE most clean building styles I've ever seen. EVERYTHING you build comes out just KILLER!!!
  17. Eric, I put your website in my favorites, but,I can't find the Falcon,or the Cutlass on it. What am I doing wrong? I'd REALLY be interested in BOTH of them. I've seen how nice that Smooth-On 320 stuff is,it's REALLY nice stuff too. Jeff Ballard uses it in his casting too, looks JUST like plastic! Let me know when your back from Atlanta, I agree with ya, I spent alot of money on BOTH those kits,I AM kinda reluctant to build them, BUT build them I WILL!!!

    Citroen 2CV.

Came out GREAT Nige! Great comparison shot of the 2 side by side! Maybe, instead of callin it a 2CV, you should change the name to an CV8!!! Can ya put an extra seat in it, so's I can ride in it with ya? We'd scare the sh!t out the cows on the backroads of Belfast!!!
  19. george 53

    Citroen 2CV.

Guess you could call it a basic STRIPPED down model,eh? Looks like the most BASIC of the BASIC model of a2CV!!! Another GREAT build Nigel!!! At least NOTHING went to waste!
  20. WoW Dave, them old Renwal kits are REALLY hard ta find, an here ya go an find TWO of em TOGETHER! You LUCKY dawg you!!!! But, they were some pretty customed out styles ta begin with, how ya gonna build 'em? They goin back to "stock"? or ya gonna treat 'em to some good 'ol "Treehugger"magic???? Whatever ya do, I'm glad YOU found 'em, their gonna LOVE their fate!!!
  21. Holy Shamoly Eric, your quite the caster ain'tcha??? This one looks just as good as the Cutlass! How much are these rascals? I hope you can drive those greedy bastiges CRAZY with some more realistic prices! The last one I saw on the bay went for close to 100.00 bucks! I have an original in my stash, and yours looks dead nuts to it! GREAT JOB! I hope your buisness REALLY does well!
  22. Yeeesh Eric, I got one of them rascals of theEvil Bay a while back, an NOW you go an pop one in resin! As far as i know, your one of the few(if NOT the only one) who does one, it LOOKS pretty nice. What kinda resin are you useing? It looks nice, almost could confuse it with an original kit! And YES if you have the original engine, BY ALL MEANS cast that rascal! What good is an Olds WITHOUT an OLDS engine!!!????
  23. I remember that kit caz i had it! it's a Palmer Plastics kit. I remember the frame on it. This was a early/mid-60's kit, an you can bet I was surpriced when i tried to build it, after haveing gotten used to REAL model kits, like AMT,an MPC,and Revell. The guys are right, it's junk.Nothing more, nothing less.
  24. Eric, it looks great! looks like it'll make a GREAT tow vehicle for some early Nascar models! How much is that rascal, an how we go about gettin one? Looks like it'll be a real good seller!
  25. Jeff, ya know Ol Harry's gotta point there! Them wheels DO look good, but for the PERIOD your goin for, thety ARE too new. Maybe if you were to put a set of deepened wire wheels on it, i'd be more of keepin with the look your goin for. Just some constructive criticism, caz I do like the look.
