Hey,Daddy-O I jus noticed, it's NOT the blue one! Either way, the V/C is still on wrong, but it don't matter much, caz unless you put oil in it, it won't leak!
-
She's lookin good, Clay. Not to be the nit picker, but the valve cover on the passenger side is upside down. The 3 bolt holes go on the top side of the V/C. Just a small point, but it should match the one on the drivers side. My nitpickin aside, It's loookeeen Goood!

1/24 Monogram '30 Ford Model A 5-window Coupe
george 53 replied to Bernard Kron's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Bern, I haven't seen it, but yeah, I'd be thinkin it's just a re-pop of the 24th kit. Can't see R/M doin a WHOLE NEW kit in 25th scale when all they gotta do is dust off the molds for that one! It IS good fodder for all them Hot Rodders out there though! Didja see the one in"Under Glass" He used the 24th 30 body/fender section and the 25th 32 Chassis and engine, an man, did it come out NICE!!!! -
WOW Plum, that came out NICE!!!! See what a lil chop and a nice coat of paint can do? I STILL think that is one UGLY truck in stock form, but you certainly have made an "ugly duckling" into a SWAN!!!! GREAT BUILD!!!!

WHA????? ONE MIIIIILION DOLLARS!!!!????? Who daya think I is? AIG? I'll get my revenge,AND my Mojo back Dr.Eveil! You haven't heard the last of this! You Evil guy, you!

george 53 replied to Dingo's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
WOW Dingo, that's cool! With all those flat panels, it looks like it wouldn't be to hard to build in plastic! It sure is unique! Who knows, maybe I'll try it! Yours looks great! -
Dingo, check out my personal friend Greg Armour, Stump, as he goes by. He's from Dragalogalong, in NSW. He's sent me pics of the country around his home, and he truly DOES live in a land of paradise! The ONLY other place on EARTH I'd like to live in, other than the "Good ol U.S.of A.!Dragalogalong is NOT the real name of his town, but that's what he calls it. Typical Aussie humor, I LOVE it!

I can vouch for Jeff's Mustang fellas! I got one at the last MCCC Toy Show/Model contest, and the stock Mustang parts fit like a GLOVE! It also doesn't hurt that he's a member of our model club, Dmcc! GREAT item, you WON'T be dissapointed! -

This rascal should REALLY be a killer when your done, and I got a feelin you an Santiago will be right up there in the large scale class! WOW Erik, I had no idea that guys were usin REAL models now to built slot cars! That is too cool! Maybe you could bring it to tonites meeting and show that bad boy off! I think it's pretty cool!
-
Oh Foxie, ya jus gotta get ta know me better, you HUNK you!
-
This is ONLY the second time I've seen a Thermo-Quad done correctly! I have the only other ones I have EVER seen! I saw that bad boy as soon as the pics came up! VERY small BUT accurate for that Duster,as it was totally interchangeable with the junkie Carters that car came with! My buddy in Hi school ran one on his 70 340 Duster. If you pay that kinda attention to detail, this is gonna be one killer model! (It's the little things that count!)
-
Up early my arse Clay, ya probly never went ta bed! OK Harry, now ya got 2 Jarheads waitin on ya! One active, an one REAL inactive! Heck I wouldn't be up this early if Therese didn't hafta work! Well anyway, I hope your well rested and feeling fit, caz to be woken up like this could surely ruin a mans day! SO......... what is it Harry, inquirering minds (and some lost ones) NEED to know. HIT ME BROTHER,HIT ME!!!

Rob, I believe the article your refering to is from that "other" mag. It should be inna back issues somewhere. Have you thought about just askin a MEXICAN for a blanket? I'd love ta give ya one, but up here in Michigan it's still cold! Now IF you were an attractive blonde, with blue eyes, and a nice figure, and DEFINATELY a female, I could share one with you!

O.T. Any advice on this situation?
george 53 replied to Willy Survive's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Will, I DO feel for you brother, but without a union to protect your rights as a worker, you ARE at the whims and mercy of the Co. THAT'S why unions are SO important to a workers way of life! Look at what you do. You give your time and talent to a company who only sees you as a workhores. They probably don't even concider the impact of their decisions on the workforce, only on their bottom line. Hey, be glad you got a job is THEIR attitude! Big Companys WANT to make as much profit as they can, and without union protection,YOUR expendable. In this economy, ANYBODY can do your job,EVEN YOU,with the appropriate cut in pay,of course. I've been a union man ALL my life, and even now,in retirement,I still am. I do truley hope everything works out for you Will, your a good man, and deserve to be treated properly. Your skills and talents ARE unique to you, and so is your desire to do the best you can for your employer. Now HE needs to see this and understand that unhappy workers WILL produce an unhappy product! MONEY is NOT always the bottom line! -
Jody, does that paint shift colors with the light? In the 1st pic it doesn't even LOOK like the color in the 2nd pic. I kinda preffer the blue.Never seen paint change shades so extremely before. But Green or Blue, It'll be a real looker when your done!

amt/ertl the fast and the furious dodge chager kit.
george 53 replied to B_rad88's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Join the club KM! Now I don't feel so bad,not bein the only one who can't post pics. But yeah, your right, the PLASTIC model of the F&F Charger IS a POS! The die-cast version wasn't too bad,as I have that one converted to stock. I had saved an interior with seats from an original MPC 70 Charger, and it fit like a glove! I just modified a 69 hood and it came out pretty nice. Beats the cost of tryin to find one on the Bay! -
Ya just had ta ask din'tcha. No, sorry I can't do pics, I don't know how, even with all the help the guys here have given me. But like I said, If ya want em just send me your addy, and I'll try to help you out.

Cool idea for my next project
george 53 replied to Nick Winter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Duke, I just noticed your in CANADA! THAT explains it, that car was NOT available here as far as I know. You guys had quite a few G.M.'s that were unique to your country, that were NOT available here in the U.S.! We had the GT-37, But NO GTO wagons. THAT IS TOO COOL!!!!! -
Cool idea for my next project
george 53 replied to Nick Winter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Duke, I for one have NEVER seen one of those, and I HAVE SEEN ALOT!!! If you hadn't shown so many in different colors, I would've thought they were someone twisted idea of a joke! I am TRULY surprised by this as even in the early 70's I NEVER saw one, and I was REAL into G.M's back then. I had a friend who BUILT his own 66 Buick Grand Sport wagon from a wrecked GS and his dad's hand me down car, but it WAS a 1 off. If you hadn't posted the pics, I STILL would never have believed Pontiac ever made one of those! Ya larn sumpin new every day! Thanks!!! -
KM, send me your addy by PM an I'll see what I can do, I got slicks ,Olde tymie, regular 50/60's and newer ones. Sorry no tuners though, as I don't build 'em. Hopefully I can help you out, an get rid of some stuff!
-
Lookin GOOD Blvd! Ya know, I got 2 of those kits, an I never knew they were 4wh Drive! Yours is lookin good even now! It should be really cool when it's done!
