  1. Bob, if'n it was someone other than Harry, I might tend to agree, but you know as well as me, that ol' boy can do some AMAZIN things with pichures! Harry, I STILL think it's a model!
  2. Beautiful build, and not to be nit-picky, but doesn't A/FX mean ALTERED(as in wheelbase?) Factory Experimental? I don't remember 64/66 mustang racers comin with SOHC engines. Doesn't take anything from your build though, caz it is a GREAT JOB!
  3. HARRY, HELP, I hit the WRONG button!!!! I think it's a MODEL!!!!
  4. Harry, I must also thank you for junkin me out with RoM! The last time I was adicted to somethin was over 20 yrs ago, and spent 30 days in a rehab unit! I know you must derive some kinda sadistic pleasure outa knowin you got a hold on someones Phsyci...Phsyco.. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!! Anyways, it LOOKS real but knowin you,I'm gonna go with MODEL this time, caz it just might be a TERRIFIC photo of a 1/18th model.(like last week) The tires don't look like they're bearin any weight. BUT..... I could be wrong!
  5. Harry, Psssst, wake up! I HADTA get up earlier than usual today, So I've been up for a while, an the Joneses are partyin HARDY today! Man I HATE them guys, noisy, jumpy bastages they is!So how bout helpin a Brudder out an givin me my fix? I'll even come over an wash yer car(next time I'm in Chi-Town)! C'mon Harry , I'm like, suffrin here Daddy-O! OH,The HORROR!!!The HORROR!!!
  6. Jeff, I'm gonna hafta agree with Doug on this one, Bro.It'd be ALOT easier on ya if you stuck with plastic, unless you been around diffrent modeling mediums (like diecast, resins,etc.)before. Guys like Treehugger Dave can probly give you all kinds of tips for workin with Diecast, But if your a younger modeler, I would stay with plastic if I had a choice! There are some NICE Tri-Five kits out there in plastic. But it's up to you Bro, if you think you can handle it, GO for it!(It's only a model, after all!)
  7. Ya know, I gotta agree with Harry about whats REAL lookin on a chassis, But Yours looks REAL enough to me! Your weathering technics are right on the money! Ya did a GREAT job on the chassis, I can't wait ta see the rest of it! If it's as nice as the chassis, I got the feelin it'll be a REAL treat! GREAT JOB, now finish that rascal up, so's we can see that sucker!
  8. Man, that's really a drag to hear Bob. Our LHS is part of a chain, called Riders. They hae a pretty good thing goin here in S.E. Michigan.I visit alot , even if I don't buy anything, but I usually do, even if it's just somethin small, like paint. Most, if not ALL the mom & pop stores are gone, Because of places like Wally Mart an K-Mart, and now that they don't sell models anymore, all thats left are places like Riders and the 'Net. One of the clubmembers, Steve Perry, is makin a list of local buisnesses that still sell models for members to use, It'll sure beat usein up gas lookin for places to visit. Guess it's just a sign of the times. Still, I am sorry to hear your favorite shop is closing.
  9. WoW Bill, they sure got ALOT of mileage out of the ol Dukes kit, din't they. Well it must not be just a plastic version of the metal kit, caz other than the hood an interior, I thought the metal version wasn't that bad. Just had the headlights molded open. But yeah, I had another Charger hood that I had to rework a bit to get it to fit.Wow, I'm glad you posted this thread AND your reply, caz I just mighta bought it! Thanks!
  10. That's a 70 Charger, Plum. And it's the ONLY one out there, except for resin. If you REALLT want a 69, what's wrong with the Revell 69 Charger? That kits gonna need ALOT of work to make it stock, like a proper interior, and a hood without a big ol' hole in it! I bought the metal kit version, an just happened to have a stock 70 interior from WAAAYYYY back, so it was a tad easier to make it stock.Didn't like the headlights showin in the grille to much, but it's all it comes with.Hope yours comes out ok, but I would just build it as a 70, if it were me.
  11. Looks really good so far Lyle, but ain't it kinda "new" for ya? I mean, it's a 68! If it comes out(which I have a sneeky suspicion it will)like your other builds, it'll be a killer! I got a soft spot for late 60's(66/69) Chevelles, an this ones lookin like it'll be right up there! Nice build so far!!!
  12. WOW! And I thought the Nova waz tuff! Yeeesh kiddo, it really looks like you could climb in an start it up! GREAT JOB doesn't really cut it! More like Expealidosush Job!!! I REALLY LIKEY!!!
  13. DUHHHH, For a minute Marcos, I thought you were talkin about your SON! That certainly is a beautiful build, and you Chris are a superb craftsman! It sure looks real to me, and I'd drive it in a minute!(if I were 1/25th scale)GREAT JOB!!!
  14. WOW Tony, you did a REALLY NICE job on that kit! I remember when it was an IMC kit, along with the Little Red Wagon And the Avenger kit car . It was a fiddly kit to assemble then, when NEW! I don't even wanna think what ya mighta gone thru tryin to fix someone else's glue bomb! But ya dun real good, caz it came out great! GREAT SAVE!

    Hummer

Clay, sure looks alot better as a workin truck than a Bling mobile! Keep an Eye on it, caz it looks like David's got a likein for work Hummers too! Looks great! And I'm glad ta see ta back at the ol modelin bench!
  16. WoW Ed, THAT sure is a FREIND! By the looks of it,you dun goood! I got my a few Rado's but no big Caddy like that one( I got a sweet spot for Caddy's for SOME reason!) 68 Convert, no less! I know you'll do 'em right, after all Cadillac IS the Quality standard ot the WORLD!
  17. Rick, glad I could help. Just HOW do you pronounce her name? Is it KICK-YOU? Or Keek you? I have a hard enough time with English, much less Japanese. Glad to see the ol girl back on the circuit, and in action! Can't get enough good lookin 25th scale chicks ya know!
  18. Well Dave, Thanks alot for thinkin of me, I REALLY DO appericiate it!.I figgered if it COULD be done, you'd know how. Can't spend most of your life doin what you've done, an NOT learn SOMETHIN, Eh? It never occured to me to try to modify an Mint kits, But the thought had passed thru the vacum in my head. The wip pics do say alot though. I can see it all comin together. Just make sure ya post the end result, cas I KNOW it'll be KILLER! AND, you'll be the ONLY kid on the block with one! Just like the real one! I didn't know about Safari's till about 65, when my best freinds uncle from Texas came up in one, and I thought it was a customed out Nomad! Man it was cool! ALL kinds chrome on the inside! I remember the dash was ALL chromed out! Turns out it CAME that way! Yeppers, that was one really nice wagon! I know yours'll be just as cool! Thanks again Dave!
  19. That's cool! Thanks guys!
  20. Sounds great Mike, I've ALWAYS thought that was one of the prettiest 30's Ford styles. The tilt front seems to belong on it! This'll be REALLY nice when your done, caz it looks TOO COOL NOW!!!!
  21. Whaaaa? where'd ya get em? Are they gonna come out with a full plastic kit of that rascal? Your right tho, it is nice ta see the old AMT logo on a BRAND NEW promo! Hopefully a bright glimmer of hope for things to come! GO AMT!!! YES!!! Oh, can ya still get them? if so, how?
  22. Tell yawhat Sat, It looks better ALREADY! I know it's a little work, but it's worth it. It'll look MUCH better after your done! Keep on pluggin away,my man!
  23. Harry, I'm onna roll again!(if I get ONE right,I figger I'm onna roll)This one was pretty cool, I liked it. Beein how it's an Ozzy car, I'm guessin you couldn't get it here,hu? I sure do like it though! See ya Monday, Have a GREAT weekend Bud!
  24. Actually Joe, The "New" AMT Coronet, is really the old MPC 70 Coronet. The box pictue is a photo touch up of the original 70 release.I have that original kit, and the hood is missing the "pitchfork" scoop from the original issue. The new kit has the Ram Air Hoodscoops instead. It still has the "bucket "style interior too.But it's still a cool kit.I might get one just to have a box for comparison.I bought a mess of 'em a long time ago to use the chassis for my older Mopar builds. (what's a HTU?)
