  1. Andy, Gregs awesomeness was established a long time ago in MY book,BUT, it sure would be nice to know what Zeb's ol touring jalopy is! He's probly lovin it that ain't no body got it right yet!
  2. Yes! Lordairgitar comes thru! The only thing I could see Sunbeam was the rear quarters, looked kinda like a Tiger, but other than that it was a surprise to me!Way to GO, L.A.G.!!!
  3. Abe, don't take your faucet apart for the screen! Just go to ACO or ACE hardware and ask someone(the helpful hardware man) for faucet airator screens. they come in different sizes from dime to up to a quarter size. they only cost about 35 cents each!(if that).
  4. ######'n tried to tell ya this 2 days ago, but the storms took out all mysh8t. I do believe there was a seam down the middle of your hood, on the 51/52 's the hood stampings were two seperate pieces and they were joind down the center and the sean was covered by a moulding! since you took it off, there should be a seam showing. My Dad had both a 51 & 52 an both of em had this type of hood.I hope you get this caz my internet connection keeps goin in an out!BUT it is STILL lookin pretty ratty, Keep it up!!!!
  5. Fella's I got the same one from "Model Round-Up" It's a good copy. yea you gotta cut the hood out,but it's not hard, the Duster pieces fit right in not alot of work involved. It does make a nice model.
  6. Well Clay, looks like the wait was worth it! a beautiful job,Raul,Even more so when you figure it wasn't even for you.Like I've said before,I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!
  7. Well Dave, Heres ANOTHER fine model youv'e gotten us into!(with respects to Laurel & Hardy) Yep, I remember that one too from a while back,in SAE.Great build there too Dave,But with you know who behind ya,How could it NOT be? GREAT JOB!!!!
  8. Ma's 85 years old this month. She gets around pretty good for her age, still likes to putz in her garden and knit/crochet.Can't really complain about her at all except when she starts speakin spanglish, thank God I can understand her.She worked 27 years for Fisher Body trim as a seamstress .She always took my side when me an Pop would have our"discusions"about Nam.He didn't really think it was a war,Not like WWII, but Mom said "he got shot at,just like you,so you arent telling ME he didn't go to war"!!! My welito, her dad, lived to 100. hope she stays around as long! God Bless Her!!!
  9. Holy Shamoly ######'n, glad you posted those pics cause it looked like you drilled em holes wit an AK! Yeesh your as bad as Bill when it comes to bein a stickler fer details,But I gotta admit ,it looks more an more rattier ever time I see it! Keep it up an pretty soon that rascals gonna be runnin on CHEESE! Lookin RATTY,######'n keep it up!!!

  11. Welcome to the forum CJ.Youve already done the first step just by joinin an askin questions. These guys are the BEST! Some of em are even THE BEST of THE BEST! But they were ALL like you once. You shouldn't aspire to be like them right quick caz some of these guys got YEARS of doin this stuff, and IT SHOWS.Jus take your time, do what YOU can,and the most important,ENJOY what your doing. After all it IS a hobbie,an it's main objective is to help releave stress an anxiety, plus maybe show off your creative skills. The only one who counts ,in the end, is you!Have fun doin it,and learn as you go along. You'll get better before you know it and maybe even surprise your self!

Well Dave,######'n,I can see we're all on the same wavelength here. It's a good feelin to know He fits into our hobbies as well as our lives. Not real big on organized religion myself, But I learned the TRUTH along time ago and was never the same. It's nice to know how He stays with us at ALL times and now I can see how He helps when we play.I LIKE the way you think Dave,AND the way you build ain't too bad either.I feel We're gonna get along jus fine!Wait till you meet Gramps(Bill)xrds!

  22. Wow Mike, I still remember my 1st one pretty well.My Big Brudder got me Revells 56 Chrysler New Yorker for my 6th birthday,April 1st 1959.I played hell with the multi-piece body, and it was a glue-bomb, but he let me put it together all by myself, and I thought it came out swell! Afew years ago Revell re-released it as part of their SSP line-up, so I bought another one to see if I could do it any better,But no,it came out kinda the same. Not such a glue bomb this time(I now use liquid glue) but them ol multi -piece bodys still give me a hard time!!!Thanks fer postin this thread,I'm sure It'll bring alot of pleasent memorys for everyone!!!
